Hey, Jet, maybe you can help me out a little, then. Can I get a couple of side-view shots of robot mode of Star Convoy? I've been wanting to do a paperformer of him, but I'm not totally sure how to model the cab. :S

As a side note, where the crap can you find paperformers anymore? I can't find a single site with them (that works)... :tdown

:redface Nevermind.

I on the other han,d huge fan of this toy. First for being a fan of Prime and next for Jap exclusive.

Storywise ( according to the Japs) he is the true Optimus prime that returns after his death since the movie.

Next he has a solid head scupt and well proportionate body.( too bad his legs are stuck as one) but who care.. he is the only prime that can walk in robot mode (battery powered Tracks).

no doubt he will be released one day in Robot master version.. but nothing really beats the original..

Not to foget Micromaster hot rod. He really shines among his micro master peers.

Now when was the last time you see get 2 autobots leader come as one?

( Well, lets disregard Energon).

To top it off.. he is really rare, 1st being released in Jap, next he is into the end of G1 transformers that really transform.

To put it simply, I dig it

*snip*

Now doesnt it complete the picture?

  :tfevil

I couldn't agree more! I rather fancy Star Convoy myself, but I'll hold out for the reissue. However, I can't tell you how green my skin just turned looking at that sexy shelf 'o stuff you've got going there. It's seeing things like that which make me seriously consider dropping new stuff altogether and concentrating on the vintage.

*shniffle* I salute you!

Dont give up collection on all the new toys. they are really getting better.. Though i cant say that for most of ARMADA's toy. (Its crappy). But the Cybertron/ Galaxy force toys are really cool Blot. I love everyone of them. except for the Rhino/ Saidos.(GF). but on the whole the toys are really cool., Dont give up. :tflaugh1

Not saying that i'd be an ebay vulture, who ever sed that! I would offer the guy a reasonable rate, and i probably have no intention of selling it soon if its worth so much. But anyways like i have sed b4 the guy really seemed to have no interest in the toy just laying at the back of the counter behind some gundams, but please not offence to anyone i'd rather not be called a vulture and be falsely accused.

I was being semi-sarcastic with that comment, because most people don't openly display their intent to resell the TFs they find.  There's nothing wrong with buying it because you think it's undervalued- it is (if it is real).  We just like to pretend that everyone here is a die-hard collector that will give the figures a good home and cherish them forever. :-P

Btw, nice collection, Jet Convoy.  I'm still looking for a Victory Leo so I can have my own Victory Saber.  One day...

    • If you've not had your fill of Transformers collaborative news today, here is some more with a leaked product listing for the Project Knight: Transformers X Knight Rider crossover. We've been dreaming of this one, and it appears a transforming K.I.T.T. will be coming as soon as August! It must be something big and or special with a $49. - Read the Full News Story
    • Tonight on GotBot Goes Live, we talked Transformers news for the newest multipack and some reissues. We also talked collaboratives with TMNT, an Ectotron reissue and, maybe, even Star Wars? Plus, we address the MP Ginrai teaser image and answer who is Riggorus?
    • EDIT 2: Okay, I think my real problem with this was the marketing image. The main image shows four robot turtles standing together, so I was ready for four toys, not one. Admittedly, I was so disappointed that I did not bother to read the article fully. That's my fault. I apologize. That said, now that I understand it is THE van that turns into a robot, not "robot versions of the four turtles," that makes more sense, but I don't get the four heads. There are images here of a bandana free head which I gather is not included. I would actually prefer a non-specific generic turtle head for the robot. I think that would remove a lot of confusion. At least for me. EDIT 1: My bad, I misunderstood. It's one toy with swappable heads. So, you made a thing based on a four member team, and you only want to sell one toy? You're not even trying to get people to "Collect all FOUR!" You do understand how toy sales work, right? Original Comment: This is a perfectly fine idea executed TERRIBLY. You made four unique toys, each specific to each of the Ninja Turtles, that all turn into the same vehicle? It would be one thing if they joined together to form the van. There have been transformer sets like that before. This is just wasted opportunity. Not to mention, that van exists for the turtles to ride in together as a team, so if they can turn into vehicles ... what do they need a van for? I get that that's their van, and that's cute and all, but ... this is just dumb and disappointing. Why not think about what kind of car each of them would drive based on their personalities, or ask some car company if they want to do a tie-in promotional? What do I want with four copies of the same van and no one to ride in any of them? It makes no sense.
