I FINALLY found a single Alt. Wheeljack at a Wal-Mart today. Shockwave and Ravage were there, too...but my love for WJ told me to get him. YAY!

I too found Wheeljack at Wal-Mart.  I got him today.  I think that's the place to look for Alts now.  Target has shrunken their TF section in favor of Star Wars toys. The one I go to hasn't had anything new in months, they even put their new Alt. Swindle and Grimlock on clearance back in February.

Hmm...yeah, after seeing an abundance of Silverstreaks at a bunch of other stores, I was giving up hope...but I got him! I love him, too...he looks great! Fitting that he's a GT, since he's always been a racing car...but I love him. Too bad Alt. Prowl, at least from that Toy Fare preview pic, doesn't look as gorgeous...but we can hope that was just a quick mock-up.

How hard is the head transformation?

The transformation is nuts...the doors and hands kept falling off on me during the transformation. It's as hard as you've probably heard...they only rank him a 3 on the skill scale, too...and the head's tricky until you realize you have to finaggle the hood a little to get it out.

Dang.... I am avoiding the stores b/c I'm bidding on a bunch of eBay stuff right now and I really shouldn't spend any more money. And I know that if I see Wheeljack I'm gonna snatch him up immediately.
