Any word on why they show that detonator in the first pics?

As Fan to Fan reported before, those are Takara's version of "Legends of Cybertron" (aka "Cybertron All-Stars"). First batch consisting of Galaxy Convoy, Master Megatron and Starscream.

Robot Masters Ultra Magnus?  Well, considering what they did with MP UM, I'd say it's a white Optimus Prime, with a black laser rifle.  It does explain why Takara also gave RM Convoy a gray rifle, even though G1 Prime has never had a gray in any incarnation.

The Earth Destron was sealed in the artic circle.  It is unleashed by Starscream.  Though Galaxy Convoy rushes, he is encircled & now in a crisis!  Starscream works with the Earth Destron to corner the Cybertrons.  Having been cornered in a crisis, it is Transformers Live Convoy & Autovolt to the rescue.  With the cooperation of Galaxy Convoy & Live Convoy, Starscream is......

 

Earth Destron

A long time ago, traveling in a space ship, it is a survivor of an ancient Transformers.  It was sealed in a capsule by the Monster Hunter, Autobolt.

 

Live Convoy

He has been a sleeping Cybertron warrior in the Rocky Mountains of Earth.  He is awoken by the commotion of the Earth Destron.  He is the leader of the Cybertron that moved to live on Earth in ancient times.  He cannot overlook the crisis of a companion.  He is a soldier who overflows with the sense of justice.  He is a combative genius & displays that he defeats the enemy quickly.

As a Monster Hunter, he captured the Earth Destron in ancient times.
