We need a new Bumblebee!

I would love to see Bumblebee as a New Beetle, or a Mini, but why not use a 2003 Beetle. It's the exact same (reletivly speaking) as the clasic beetle and was still being produced in Mexico until 2003. I'm not sure how VW would take to such a notion, but why not give it a shot. And as far as Bumblebee not doing any real work in the cartoon, someone had to watch Spike while the other Bots were dealing with the Decepticons.

No VW alternators will ever be made.

Because of the VW war policy? Can anyone point to a realiable source on this matter?

Besides, Transformers may seem like serious war stuff to some of us, but I think most outsides think "Oh, the old 80's kids toyline."

An endless war spanning millions of years on Cybertron probably isn't something that pops into mind.
