Another new reveal drops with the first look at the United G1 Optimus Prime by way of Mark Mahaer @markclonus Concept Design posts. Just see this now myself, it's kind of interesting to see an all plastic Prime after all metal Takara TOMY has spoiled us with. This Autobot Leader is smaller and has no bling, or trailer as a deluxe class mainline figure. - Read the Full News Story

Interesting although doesn't this defeat the purpose of Missing Link G1 Optimus?  Also, given Hasbro's history of milking every mold, should we wait for a Studio 86 Leader Class release with the trailer?

I would love to see similar takes on G1 figures like this.  Essentially modernized G1 figures.  It would have been figure of the year if they opted to add some chrome for the pipes, grill, and wheels.  Imagine a G1 Sunstreaker remake?  That would be amazing!!!!

Holdup... Is that a movable skirt piece? This thing might actually be a solid (affordable) alternative to Missing Link!

The scale is off, but the look and functionality appear to be handed down to the standard deluxe scale figure. - Read the Full News Story

This would be the perfect mold for Hasbro/Takara to make the first decent Ultra Magnus toy since the G1 original. I would love to see a Delta Magnus version of this guy as well some day!

I agree! I would love to see a Nemesis Prime repaint eventually too!
