No, Hasbro is not releasing a remake of the Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie or G1 Jetfire. However, this is too close to home not share the independent release by UK toys maker KitzConcept. They have been releasing scaled down 19 cm / 7.5 inch versions of the whole Macross squad.KitzConcept has posted this listing for the Macross Robotech VF-1A God of Flame with Fast Pack Armour officially Harmony GOLD licensed homage to the original Takatoku figure with LED lights and other special features.

In case you want to update the news post, @BaCon, They updated the pre-order count from 1K and 1,888 units.  I have a feeling they're gonna need to add more.  BBTS and Kitz Conceptz's sites keep selling out before I get to them.  if they just waited one more week to announce it...

I am in the United States of America and I paid a preorder fee with KitzConcept.com 18 months ago on 2021-06-16 for a Macross VF-1J (version 2 (some call it version 1.5)) and aside from my order receipt, I have never received any notice of progress of my order.  Over the past 12 months, I have emailed their customer_service@kitzconcept.com a few times, and written several times via their online "contact us" form and have never once received a reply from them.  I have also called them a couple times at (852) 2798 9992 during their business hours in Hong Kong (11 hours behind my timezone) and the phone just rings and rings and no one answers.

Has ANYONE in the United States actually received anything directly from ordering via KitzConcept.com ?

Update 2023-02-10
Attempts to contact KitzConcept via email and their website "contact us" form and telephone form were always left unanswered. I even spoke & wrote in Cantonese (using Google Translate) one time to try and cover my bases.

I had success contacting them via their Facebook account (I had to make a Facebook account to do so, of course) .   They replied after a few days telling me to find their response in my PayPal account.

In PayPal they left me a bill and I paid it.
They did not send me an email for completed payment, nor a  Facebook message stating that they processed my order, so I was yet again left wondering if I was going to lose this money.
After waiting a couple weeks, I contacted them again via Facebook and a few days later they told me to look at my PayPal again and that a tracking number would be there.
Indeed, PayPal showed a tracking number for Hong Kong Post (HKP)
After about a week HKP shows my order left for the United States.
As of today, it has been 30 full days since it left HKP!
I called and emailed HKP and they emailed me back stating that only the sender (KitzConcept) is allowed to ask about the package and that I will need to go through KitzConcept.

As of today, it has been 57 days since I made the 2nd final payment via PayPal.

So, sigh, I contacted KitzConcept again via Facebook and after 1-2 days they replied on FB stating it will take up to 67 days for the package to arrive to my home.  And, indeed, I looked at my receipt on KitzConcept.com website and it really does state 44-67 days standard delivery time! Wow!  ...so, I will wait another 10 days...  I am just worried I got ripped off..  This has been a nightmare to get this order.  I certainly suggest ordering via Ebay or Amazon because you have protections.  I only ordered via KitzConcept.com directly because I wanted to pre-order to ensure I would receive the toy at all because the first run sold out so quickly, just like how Bandai's 1/48 vf-1s sells out from pre-orders alone and they are impossible to get except through resale at a mark-up in price.

..About 84 days after I paid, 57 days since it left Hong Kong Post ...  I finally received the robot.  Very nice.  Veryyyy nice.  But oh my goodness what a super long delivery time.  I thought I got scammed and l lost my money.   The toy was super tight in several places making me think I was going to break it to transform it, but it all worked out well as I supported the transforming pieces' joints.  The "cartoon" hands look like an afterthought, as do the missiles, they just don't match the quality of the figure otherwise.  The missiles are a total bear to work into the wing's hardpoints, I had to push and rotate them for minutes until the pegs wore down enough to finally seat in. The landing gear is crazy difficult to open up, I had to use a very thin knife to wedge between the panel line to open it, but it was worth it.  The only defect I see was that 2 tiny clear pieces on the wing were missing (I think they represent lights on the wings) and so I will be writing KitzConcept to ask them to mail me those so I can glue them to the wings ; and also one of the cartoon hands are super sloppy when placed into the hand socket... I prefer the robot hands anyhow.  On one hand, I broke the hand apart trying to get the gun to set into the palm peg, but just a touch of super glue and it was repaired easily.
This is super detailed, beautifully panel lined, nice tiny water slide decals or (probably tampa printing) - such a beautiful robot, so well engineered, but so delicate, but so worth it 🙂
