Spent 2 MONTHS Saving up to buy the 3 Original G1 'OMNIBOTS' when I was 8. The DAY I was to mail in my 'Robot-Points' & Money-Order, we went to WinnDixme & found an OVERSIZED GrimLock KO (which I haven't Seen ANYWHERE since I lost mine) . HAD to have THAT one. Somehow Forgot about the UnderAppreciated OmniBots....(Did I mention that Grim-KO was a 6-CHANGER!?)

Fast forward to Last year: Finding decent eBay deals on all 3, I finally Obtain a set of G1 OMNIBOTS! & Discover them to be Very cool Toys Indeed. To this day they are among my Favorite TFs (Especially OVERDRIVE-He's like a mix of Sideswipe, Jazz AND Tracks all in ONE!).

Yeah, I had Camshaft as a kid, and regretted it, thinking I should have gone with Overdrive. I've still yet to get them again, every time I see one on Ebay, it's either beat all to hell, or it ends up going for more than I want to pay. I'll get 'em eventually... hopefully I'll find someone selling all three and will combine shipping or something.

  • 4 months later...

I have the Diaclone boxed Camshaft (Silver one) and Overdrive (red), along with a set of the TF versions.

Interesting thing about Camshaft, he has a driver, little silver guy that sits on the peg inside the car (Right side of the car).  ITs only 1/2 a guy though.

I was surprised that the Diaclone Overdrive also comes in all plastic, Camshaft and Downshift both have some diecast in them.

Thinking about sending Overdrive's windshield off to Transrepo to have a mold made and all those windshieldless cars on Ebay could have hope.  Have several minus those.
