I still need to see what sounds Shockblast makes, then take them out. I usually leave buttons in but take out the regular batteries due to fear or leakage. I don't really like TFs that make noise when you transform them or move their limbs. If I want you to make noise, I'll push your button(s).

Overload/Bulkhead have the best TF sounds IMO.

I remove all the batteries (cept A-Starscream and A-Overload, cause they sound great). The sounds from most of the figures are really annoying (Scorponok anyone?). So I listen to the sounds first, take the batteries out and then save them. This also makes it easier to replace the ones with sounds I do like when their batteries go dead (which they do).

btw... tried storing all the button batteries in a row (positive side to negative side) and they began to really heat up. Kinda cool but probably dangerous to keep them like that for prolonged periods. Now I stick them onto a strip of duct tape (negative side down).

You can try batteries if you like, but personally I wouldn't bother. The sound he makes is hardly onomatopoeia to that of a missle/laser being fired but instead resembles more of a harsh shriek. Very hard on the ears as wals that tank add on thing that came with Energon Megatron, That was by far the most horrific noise I've ever heard in any given toy. :tdown

As far keeping the batteries in most of em are out cept for Energon Prime (Gotta love that underwater submarine noise) I also kept em in Landmine, Bulkhead, and Armada Overload. All three make really cool transformation noises. The only other one I would've kept the batteries in was Armada Jetfire but since he's in a box with many other Transformers the slightest nudge would have him do that obnoxious countdown followed by the sequenced bleep repeatedly. One night at 2:30 they came out and never went back in. I've never looked back on it. :thumb
