I found a good use for my spare Classics Prime and Jetfire since I got the Henkei versions:

I saw this combo on Youtube earlier today - I can't believe I never saw this before!

Unicron: Megatron...Megatron....welcome Megatron.

Megatron: Who...who said that?

Unicron: I....am Unicron.

Megatron: Show yourself!

Unicron: I have summoned you here for a purpose.

Megatron: Nobody summons Megatron!

Unicron: Then it pleases me to be the first.

Megatron: STATE YOUR BUSINESS!

Unicron: This is my command. You are to destroy the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. It is the one thing - the ONLY thing - that can stand in my way.

Megatron: You have nothing to fear. I have already crushed Optimus Prime with my bare hands!

Unicron: You exaggerate.

Megatron: The point is he's dead! And the Matrix died with him!

Unicron: No. The point is YOU ARE A FOOL. The Matrix has been passed to their new leader - Ultra Magnus. Destroy it for me.

Megatron: Why should I? What's in it for me?!

Unicron: Your bargaining posture is highly dubious...but very well. I will

provide you with a new body and new troops to command!

Megatron: And?!

Unicron: AND NOTHING. You belong to me, now.

Megatron: I BELONG TO NOBODY!

Unicron: Perhaps I misjudged you. Proceed....on your way to oblivion. *Unicron begins torturing Megatron*

Megatron: NOOOO!!!! NO! I ACCEPT YOUR TERMS! I ACCEEEEEPT YOOOOOOUUURRR.....

Unicron: Excellent.

snipshot4en0.jpg

*reformating*

Unicron: Behold. Galvatron. And these shall be your minions.

*reformating of Insecticons, Thundercracker, and Skywarp*

Unicron: Scourge - the tracker. And his henchmen, the Sweeps.

Unicron: Cyclonus - the warrior. And his armada.

Unicron: And this shall your ship. Now.....go. Destroy the Autobot Matrix.

Galvatron: I will rip open Ultra Magnus and every other Autobot who stands in my way! To Cybertron!

Unicron: Destroy the Matrix...

Here's a battle scene I just set up - the Justice League vs. the G1 Decepticons. If there were ever a time to feel sorry for the `Cons . . .

post-10925-1247524257_thumb.jpg

The Seekers get sacked! Starscream puts up a last stand against Supergirl, while Wonder Woman grounds Acid Storm.

post-10925-1247524266_thumb.jpg

Targetmaster vs. arrows & power ring My money's on Green Arrow & Green Lantern.

post-10925-1247524274_thumb.jpg

The Flash has just disassembled Galvatron, and Ramjet, Ravage & Skywarp are afraid they're next!

Black Canary sings Crasher & Octane into submission!

Another angle. I was careful to choose `Cons that could look like they were holding their ears. :-)

Given the quality of the DC Infinite Heroes figures... my money would've been on the TFs.

What's wrong with them? They're good likenesses of the characters, decently posable for the size, sturdy. Now the Marvel line, there's some lousy figures. Half of those I own are floppy - the figures are hard to get stable, and could probably benefit from having fewer joints. The waists are especially bad - I can't get Spidey to stand straight to save his life. Add to that the excessive reuse of particular characters (how many Johnny Storm & Iron Man variants have they done?) and the higher price, and I know what line I'd rather go for.

Their posability is pretty damn poor. And the sculpts aren't great either... the extensive use of soft plastic leads their sculpts to be not very detailed. Plus, they hate accessories. Between that and their poor articulation, their posability is stupidly limited.

Plus, it's plagued by just terrible choices that kinda make me think they're just not trying like flat out wrong decoes and sculpts.

Definately a matter of taste, here, but I will say a few things. Why are accessories so important? For most of the DC fids I have accessories would be superfluous. Batman could use a batarang, and Wonder WOman might benefit from having her lasso but otherwise . . . What's Superman supposed to have, kryptonite?

And I love the character choices. Sure there have been a few repaints - at least two Batmans, for instance, but overall, the line has been a nice cross-section of the DC universe. We got a Pre-Crisis Supergirl, for crying out loud! I just wish there were a Robin in the line. And Kyle Rayner would be nice. And since they're some of the least expensive figures on the rack, I'm willing to overlook some flaws.

It limits their posability in my opinion. Especially when they've got such limited articulation... but I will give them credit for the character choices... and then take that credit away for screwing them up with terrible design choices.

Give us the question and then make him the wrong colors... without the trenchcoat... that makes sense.

I've passed on the Infinite Heroes for exactly those reasons. They just look cheap, period. Say what you want about the Marvel ones, but they look good on the shelf and can actually BE POSED. Getting them to stay standing is another story... :roll

But given the great job Mattel is doing with the Classics line, it's really weak that the Infinite Heroes are turning out like this.

    • Finally, we have some official, non-side-released, Rise of the Beasts toys to check out. Beast Combiner Optimus Primal with Skullcruncher is a fun toy, borrowing heavily from the Spark Armor concept from Cyberverse while bringing something new to the table. You really have to like the wink and a nod homage to the very first Beast Wars release from back in the day. While targeted towards younger fans, there's more than a little here for older fans as well.
    • Well, it finally happened, animated is finally getting some love. It's been much too long await in my humble opinion. The only question now is whether or not it was worth it. What do y'all think? be sure to hit me up in the comments below and as always, let's get nerdy with it! Thanks so much for stopping by and if you haven't already be sure to like and sub and all those wonderful things. I always greatly appreciate it 🙂 Catch!

    • To give context to the "Stomach Of Unicron" one, the outline Sunbow handed to Ron Friedman for his second TFTM script told him to do one thing, the script he turned in depicted quite another thing (outline and script available here): https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.com/p/mp-4034-transformers-movie-sunbow.html
    • if this is possible box art it has to be something G1 . its an exact match from episode 1 about 8:43 in to the episode
