I still can't recreate this pose.  My friend did this and as can be seen VP isn't supported in any way.

Yeah, you're seeing it right. You can take the launcher and missile from his Minicon and mount it on the arm. There's a hole and the launcher has a peg. It fits rather nicely I think.
