Worldscreen have posted an itnerview with Hasbro Studios' Stephen Davis in which he reveals some news about the next Transformers TV show. What a lot of us were worried about is looking to be the case that Hasbro will launch another Rescue Bots type show aimed at a much younger audience. That means we're less likely to see the Transformers back in a biggger bolder way, but more of a candy coated good feeling mode that is less than meets the eye. Read the details below. Perhaps, but I'd much rather watch TF:Prime than the movies ANY DAY! I appreciate much of the Generations stuff, but would still like a mature toon that my 8-year-old and I can enjoy together, like Prime (which wasn't too scary or complex for him). That Rescue Bots junk got old for him quick, 'cause there's not much to it (and NOTHING for me). Enough is dumbed down for kids these days...Transformers shouldn't be one of them. :shrug

I understand where your comiong from, but remember, Rescuebots wasn't targeted for the eight-year orl demographic. It was targeting the four to five year old range. The new show that Habro is making, according to this article is also targeting that younger age range as well as the eight year olds. They're trying to widen the demographic.

Certainly. But no reason to dumb down an otherwise GREAT show like TF:Prime. Widen the kiddie demographic with further development of Rescue Bots. Give the 10-40 year old demo, which is arguably a much more robust demographic, more Prime or an equivalent. Something worth watching. :shrug
