Many new images of upcoming exclusive item TFC-A01 Optimus Prime have been posted to the TakaraTomy Mall website alongside preorders for this dual-homage recolor of Classics Voyager Optimus Prime. Blending cartoon coloring style with a black windvane that evokes the Generation 2 Optimus toy in robot mode, Takara has somehow found yet another different way to color this toy as Optimus Prime. Preorders are only available to residents of Japan, and are expected to ship at the end of May 2014. Read the Full News Story Here

An already very beautiful illustration added to the story page for Transformers Cloud posted on eHobby's website shows several existing Generations toys and the Cloud Optimus and Megatron, but also gives a tantalizing glimpse at a Hot Rod/Rodimus using the Generations Springer mold. Currently there is no indication this will be produced as a toy, but in the context I think the chances are pretty good. We don't yet have a translation of the page's text, so for now just admire the artwork! Read the Full News Story Here

Following the news from Takara Tomy on the Transformers Cloud story, we have something from Planet Iacon who have posted what appears to be a mock of the Transformers Cloud Hot Rodimus Triple Changer with his flying attack helicopter mode. Judging from the Megatron figure, we can expect there will be some retooling of this figure as well. Check out the fan made image below for a look at what the Transformers Cloud Hot Rodimus Triple Changer figure could look like. Read the Full News Story Here

All that one did was color replace the green in to red. It looks more like Blaster than Rodimus. The best clue that this will exist as a toy is the art follows the "rules" of the toy with what's visible in the art. The coloring follows the different plastic colors on Springer consistently. Based on that, I've been working on my own mockup. It assumes a bit of the deco in the vehicle modes, but for the basic colors this should be pretty accurate.
