The only Commemorative Coins I know of are the ones that are included in the Japanese Masterpeice sets. BUT looking at ebay for coins I found a bunch of movie-verse (apparently official) 1 oz Silver coins!

Well it comes with MP Soundwave. I don't think TakaraTomy is making the coins available separately. But from what I've seen on Ebay, it looks like some people sell their coins after buying their MPs or reissues, so you could pick one up that way. Or buy MP Soundwave of course!

That is the thing... I don't think it does... It comes in a separate package like the others... I didn't get a coin with Encore Devastator... Did anyone get the coin with MP Sideswipe and MP Red Alert?... I am definitely getting SW... I just hate to have to pay another $15-$20 for the coin...

Maybe you are right. I wish I could look it up on the wiki, but most times that site doesn't work.

 

From what I could tell, the coins are available as well but maybe not in Japan. The Devestar one, for example, is seen as being a Hong Kong release, but not to say it is exclusive. Interestingly enough, while TakaraTomy is creating the coins, Hasbro Asia created a coin "box" designed to hold them.

Its looks like distributors are holding on to the coins and selling them later... I noticed this watching EBay auctions...
