Thanks to Planet Iacon who have posted come new images of the Transformers Alternity Super GT Optimus Prime action figure. The in-hand prototype images show the details of the toy in robot mode that gives us a good view of the head sculpt and his clear fold-down visor. Of course they're bigger, the height has been known for a while. The GT figs are 22cm/8.66" tall with an MSRP of 10,000jpy/$122.60. The original Alternity figures were 18cm/7.09" tall with an MSRP of 4,500yen/$55.17. The GT line is the same size as Binaltech/Alternators, but cost twice as much.

So why are these so expensive? Diecast, rubber tires, or is it just from them paying to use the brand decals?

What? They are the same size as Alternators? Okay....that totally changes my opinion about these....I thought they were just retools of the alternity figures......so they are 1/24 scale huh? Crap now I want one.....:tfevil
