Yes Takara is re releasing Fortress Maximus Big Bad Toy Store has two pre orders up with a release date of March 2013, which gives all of us a chance to save up for him

Fortress Maximus Encore 23 $349.99 Normal

Fortress Maximus Encore 23 Early Air Shipment $399.99

Either one, you are spending a lot less then his current going price of $800 (estimated) on eBay for the vintage, and brings Fortress Maximus back into attainable status

I've pre ordered 2 of the normal shipment ones myself, and hoping that Takara or E-Hobby will release Grand Maximus next year also

Looks like I've got some work to do, taking pictures of my vintage Fort Max and selling him right away.

Really? Just out of curiosity, why? Are you expecting that much of a drop in the value?

If I had a G1 FM the only reason I could think of to dump it off would be if it were a big POS with yellowing and missing parts.

Not judging, again just curious why an encore release would make you want to get rid of a vintage FM.

I think there are a certain type of collector who would take the Encore over the original but I don't think that'll shake up the current prices much. There are still going to be those out there that want the original.

I'm going to pass. I don't have enough space for a Fort Max. Plus I have some other things in that price range that are my priority (new gun, fix tattoo, etc).

Yes. I am one of those collectors. Why get a used one that may or may not have all the parts when I can get a complete vintage mold that is reissued? I missed alot of the Vintage line. I was lucky to catch a few of the last drops of G1 and then G2. i will be picking this piece up.

I love the vintage stuff and would prefer them over reissues. HOWEVER, i'll will be buying this so i can stop playing with my vintage one and just play with the new one.

i also do not see the prices dropping on the original. I'm sure these Encores will sell out since Fort Max is a highly desirable figure. G1 series 1 and 2 cars have been reissued like 8 times now and the originals still hit $60-$100 depending on who it is. Shit, the reissues themselves are starting to go up in prices too.

If I had a vintage Fort Max, I would not sell it because of the Encore, and I can see the encore Fort Max doubling in price within a year of being released
