Voyager Price Went Up At Walmart...

Well you need to press them about it, because they are required to

True but, the only catch is that you need the paper ad with you, a online listing on your smartphone will not count. Which I don't get, they put their ads online for the reason of people not being able to get the paper. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Go figure.

Well for the rest of us on planet Earth, that's how it works. IIRC, voyagers have been 21.96 for awhile now, have had Dreadwing for a t least a month and that was the price he scanned.

Depends on a lot of things. At Walmart, the cashiers are actually empowered to match the ad without seeing an ad. It's all about HOW you present it to them... and what mood they're in. As long as the price difference isn't over a pre-set amount, they don't even need a CSM.

Hasbro will get a hint eventually. When holiday sales lay a goose egg for them because Deluxes as $6 higher than parents are willing to spend, they'll reconsider.

2 examples, ymmv of course. These are company policy.

Target - If you find an item in a competitor's printed ad that is priced lower than it is at your Target store, we will match the price. The competitor's ad must be local and current, and the product must be the identical item, brand name, quantity and model number. Target.com is excluded from our price matching policy. Competitor catalogs can also be ad matched as long as the catalog displays a valid date and meets all other qualifications

TRU - The original, complete competitor ad, with valid dates, must be presented at time of purchase.

And like Blitz said the cashiers at Walmart do not need the ad or CSM. Until a certain dollar amount is reached, which is about $10. Never mind their mood, you can still get them to change the price, one of my favorites is making up a price and having Walmart match it. I got Cyber verse Commander Ultra Magnus for $7.99 at Walmart, because I said it was Targets Price. And Target had them for $9.99, now Target has dropped them to $8.99.

As for the ones who say their Walmart won't price match you can call corporate on them, as they are making Walmart as a whole look like the are false advertising. When I lived in Texas, the Walmart in Harker Heights refused to price match. So right there in line I called corporate, causing the store manager to come over and finish ringing me up with all my price matches. He was pissed, but he knew he had to allow it, and I will do that at any Walmart.

    • EDIT 2: Okay, I think my real problem with this was the marketing image. The main image shows four robot turtles standing together, so I was ready for four toys, not one. Admittedly, I was so disappointed that I did not bother to read the article fully. That's my fault. I apologize. That said, now that I understand it is THE van that turns into a robot, not "robot versions of the four turtles," that makes more sense, but I don't get the four heads. There are images here of a bandana free head which I gather is not included. I would actually prefer a non-specific generic turtle head for the robot. I think that would remove a lot of confusion. At least for me. EDIT 1: My bad, I misunderstood. It's one toy with swappable heads. So, you made a thing based on a four member team, and you only want to sell one toy? You're not even trying to get people to "Collect all FOUR!" You do understand how toy sales work, right? Original Comment: This is a perfectly fine idea executed TERRIBLY. You made four unique toys, each specific to each of the Ninja Turtles, that all turn into the same vehicle? It would be one thing if they joined together to form the van. There have been transformer sets like that before. This is just wasted opportunity. Not to mention, that van exists for the turtles to ride in together as a team, so if they can turn into vehicles ... what do they need a van for? I get that that's their van, and that's cute and all, but ... this is just dumb and disappointing. Why not think about what kind of car each of them would drive based on their personalities, or ask some car company if they want to do a tie-in promotional? What do I want with four copies of the same van and no one to ride in any of them? It makes no sense.
