Which NOT Transformer to get, Transbot or Igear?

Thankfully they posted both these NOT transformers along side a version of Classics Optimus, and both are about the same size, and on par with MP Sideswipe (probably should be a tad bigger actually but hey...)

 

SO these are your choices Transfans!

or wait a bunch more years for a official MP to come out from Takara?

IMHO Below:

 

Neither. I'm not that big of a Ironhide/Ratchet character/toy fan to want to buy a 3rd party toy of him. I was never a fan of that 1980's van alt mode.

 

I prefer the new age pick up truck alt mode for ironhide better. as I think it fits his tough guy,body guard,weapons expert persona. A van is a bad alt mode for ironhide. as a van is used to transport family/friends or a large group of people to their destinations. sorry their is nothing tough/cool about a van alt mode.

I'm passing on the 3rd part Weapons Specialist and Medical Specialist. With Takara making MP cars, it's only a matter of time(hopefully not years) until they tackle Ironhide/Ratchet. I did preorder these a year ago but decided against them.

As much as I like what they've done, neither of these characters are in my "favorites" group. I won't be getting them; however, on iGear's Facebook page, when they displayed these, there were lots of positive comments and a lot of interest.

I'm more of a fan of the 1986 thru 1988 TF USA Toy/character years. I also love the Takara Japanese exclusive G-1 Character/toys.

Honestly, I may get both. I've had the Igear Specialists on pre-order for almost a year now, and I like the idea of Ratchet and Ironhide looking similar but actually being 2 completely different molds. The only thing that's holding me back is the fact that X-Transbots has yet to put out a high quality original mold, so I won't be pre-ordering X-transbots version, if I get it it'll be after a review has been put out.
