I wouldn't be surprised if the hasbro version only came with the handgun...

Don't be deliberately negative. You know that Sideswipe would at least come with the existing accessories. Something like those jackhammer things and Soundwave's energon cubes are pretty simple would make them stand-out from Takara-Tomy's toys. Hell, Hasbro made a whole Targetmaster for their MP Hot Rod.

since Hot Rod didn't come with his trailer...

Also Grimlock only came with three accessories and two of those were his weapons......

I'm not being deliberately negative... but Hasbro has a tendency to strip MP's to darn near bare minimum....and on to Rodimus again, those paint apps, or rather lack of paint apps....

That trailer scared the crap out of Hasbro. There's no way they would have risked the higher price point for Rodimus.

As for Grimlock, I like the fun little accessories that came with Takomy's version, but I can admit that they were frivolous; plenty of fans made of fun of them.

A couple of couple of energon cubes and chromed jackhammer attachments are completely different.

Point being Hasbro has never even attempted to make their version even equivalent to the TakaraTomy release, what makes you think they'd try to make a better version?

But Hasbro does do things to make their MP toys different. I think these very simple accessories will do just that.

Different yes, but always at a sacrifice. Rodimus lost his trailer and several vehicle mode paint apps, Grimlock lost a potential total of 10 accessories Optimus Prime lost his long smoke stacks and had weird scorch-mark deco, and then later all of his die-cast and was painted strangely to look cartoony. Out of all the hasbro releases the only decent ones were Starscream and Skywarp, but Starscream was too hard to find and Skywarp was way over-produced.

If the reduced articulation of GI joe figures is any indication of how Hasbro controls cost.....I would agree that they most likely wont include them with the US release. Heck if they do release SW here he may have only 1 cassette to control the price just like the non-trailer for MP Rodimus. Now I would love for them to prove us all wrong and do that....but I won't hold my breath......I think a third party will release them as well and they may even make more accessories than just the hammers. If they do they should make clear energon cubes and then purple full cubes that light up....:D

I'm confident the Hasbro MP Sideswipe version will be awesome & include accessories I like.

Honestly I will probably never use the pile drivers nor black flat irons/whatever accessories. So it's no big loss if hasbro doesn't include them. My Hasbro MP Sideswipe on my display shelf if gonna have 2 regular robot fist. a gun in one fist & the rocket launcher+missle on his shoulder.
