E-Hobby has teamed up with the Transformers Collectors Club "to bring exciting new projects to fans in Japan and abroad," the Japanese retailer announced on their website today. In a translation of the Japanese text provided by Andrew "Hydra" Hall, e-Hobby says that the first "jointly-planned that will appear to a core fanbase" will be announced next Monday on the online e-Hobby magazine. This is a rather unprecedented event that the Transformers Collectors Club will expand their reach to Japan to bring exclusive figures that, so far, have only been enjoyed by American consumers - or fans that travel here or know people in the states. The announcement of e-Hobby and TCC coming together is definitely the beginning of a global era. This has potential. However, has TFCC scarred their reputation bad enough to where this is 'too little, too late'?

I'm just wondering if this has something to do with their subscription figures. But like Blitz this is too little too late. And could possibly hurt E-Hobby

Not sure how it would hurt e-Hobby. They're going to sell their export allotment no matter what. It's just a matter of markup, as MikePrime suggested.

Toyhobby or E-Hobby? Blitz

And E-hobby could end up getting hurt by the TFCC's Bad reputation

TFCC's bad reputation exists largely in North America, this would give them a good reputation in Japan, not that they really need to have one there.

More than likely what this means is TFCC will carry e-Hobby exclusives in their shop, and E-H will carry TFCC's non-Botcon exclusives. Not sure who's getting the better end of this deal.
