How do you feel about paying $40 extra for MP Optimus Trailer?

How do you feel about having to pay $40 extra for Hasbro's Upcomming TRU store exclusive MP Optimus Trailer?

Would you have rather paid $60 just for Hasbro TRU MP-10 Optimus?

Personally,I would have preferred just paying $59.99 just for Hasbro TRU MP-10 Optimus Prime. I don't need the trailer as it does nothing but split open to it's sides. for me it's just a really exspensive accessory. I wouldn't have minded paying the Extra $40 for the trailer if it did something useful like formed armor parts or a suit of armor for the robot mode. to turn the robot mode into a super robot mode.

Personally paying the extra $40 for a trailer just seems like a waste of decent cash. I honestly could have bought two Hasbro TRU MP-10 Optimus Prime toys instead.

I loved the idea of Hasbro getting rid of the Optimus prime Trailer for various TF toy lines like animated,TF Prime,2007 Movie,ROTF Movie,Classics, generations,RTS,Titanium 6 inch,alternators,etc...

Special note: I realize Hasbro won't call this MP-10. I just wrote it this way in this thread,to avoid confusion & seperate it from MP-01 Convoty's toy mold.

Given the option of pricing for Takara's MP10 vs Hasbro's MP10: $250+ to buy Optimus with a trailer, or $100 to buy Optimus with a trailer.

I feel absolutely fine with the price. :thumb

It's much better treatment than how Hasbro handled the Rodimus release. The extra Targetmaster was great, but yeah...I still kind of want that the camper attachment, but don't feel like double-dipping to get a 'full' figure. Ditto with Optimus.

I just hope Hasbro doesn't botch it up and end up cancelling the dern thing, as I'm holding off on picking up the Movie Trilogy Optimus Prime w/Trailer in favor of MP10.

The trailer is appreciated, Hasbro!

I love the face that Hasbro skipped no steps in this guy and $100 bucks is a great price for this set and gives us a complete Optimus in vehicular mode. I've always thought he was completely incomplete without one.

I like my Prime's with trailers, they just feel a bit more complete. I have gotten used to the fact that Optimus toys usually dont get trailers lately. And trailers are a little difficult to display sometimes too, taking up a lot of space. I would still prefer to have it, even if its stuffed in its box in the closet with Prime on display on the shelf. Every once in a while he will see daylight and get played with so I think its worth it.

Jeez Shadowpanther, how cheap are you that don't like the fact that Hasbro is doing something right for once? Besides, spending $100 is a lot better than $250 for the whole MP Optimus Prime.

It doesn't bother me that MP-10 will be £100, or maybe less here in the UK, I hope it's less, and that the added cost is for the trailer. It's better than the £200+ that Takara is asking for. I don't trust Takara after the shoddy quality control of MP-Rodimus/Hot Rod and the price they asked for a very fragile and frankly badly designed product that should have been worked on for longer so that they cold have found all the flaws.

Asking a fortune for a product only for it to be so fragile is a sure fire way of driving costumers away.

Everyone wanted a trailer before so it's refreshing that were not all bitching over getting one now.

Me personally I don't typically care for a trailer but the package as a whole looks very nice. If I see it in a store I will probably buy it provided I have the funds at that time. I'm also conflicted because that would replace Henkei Optimus in my collection and he's one of my favorites.

they need all the costumers they can get!

But i agree with the fragile state of him. But i think they wanted to wow us with 2 figures in 1 box. Great idea/poor execution?

I am in exactly the same position on all the points you've brought up. I may end up "upgrading (?)" to this one, and giving the Takara one to the little guy...he's enjoying it as much as I ever have these days. As nice as that piece is, this one just seems to improve on it across the board and I can appreciate that.

Also: it's not really Optimus Prime without the trailer, but it is a much more tolerable loss than say, Rodimus Prime w/o his trailer.
