Is doing more Botcon convention Combiners the way to go?

 

will this be totally awesome?

 

I'd say a big YES.

 

I'd love to see this get taken to the next level. by having the Botcon gift set be a combiner themed set & have the souvenir figures be another combiner themed set in the same botcon year. Example: botcon 2013 has the Protectobots as the gift set & liokaiser as the souvenir figures.

 

It just seems like the Botcon Animated sunticons was a awesome idea that so many TF fans loved.

 

It would be awesome to get more botcon themed combiners sets. maybe in the classics theme.

 

The PCC Combiners would make great combiners themed sets for botcon. theirs plenty of mix & matching potential to give TF fans themed sets like the 1986 Technobots,1989 TF Victory Liokaiser.

 

Theirs plenty of generations,HFTD & RTS toys to give us other botcon classics combiners themed sets like the following: Aerialbots,protectobots,liokaiser,combaticons,etc....

 

I Got the inspiration for this thread. Because at Botcon 2012,at the Derrick wyatt live panel. Derrick expressed interest in doing another Botcon convention Combiner toy called "the Animated Protectobots". So I figured the chances of another Botcon convention toys combiner was likely to happen eventually. as derrick clearly wants to make another one.

why call them combiners when they didn't even combine? waste of effort, if you ask me.

PCC toys sucked. They had a cool concept but just fell flat from execution. I don't think making then exclusives would be a good idea at all.

The Botcon 2011 set got away with it because it was the Transformers Animated Stunticons. They're not expected to combine. It's fine if an Animated Protectobot themed set were to eventually come out, but these aren't the same as the Classics style Stunticons and Protectobots (among all the other combiner teams from G1) that fans are still wanting and waiting for. Ones that do combine into Menasor, Defensor, etc.

 

So in short, no. It isn't what people are really looking for. Fans want actual combiners.
