BotCon 2012 - KRE-O Display Showing off Transformers Devastator, KREON-Only Sets, and More!

The dealer room is open for preview and we just got back with some great pictures of the KRE-O display! While it was revealed during Toy Fair 2012, the display for Devastator was a little lacking; but not here! The display is massive and shows off not only Devastator, but the separate bots and entire Destruction Site Devastator! The set will be out this fall for $79.99. We also have looks at upcoming KRE-ON-only sets coming this fall, including Decepticon Ambush (out in Fall for $11.99) and Cycle Chase (out in Fall for $11.99). Nice selection. I'm glad we can now get Kreons in their own sets, but I hope that it doesn't mark a shift away from the full size buildable versions of the characters. I've always imagined the TF Kreons as remote-controlled avatars for the `bots, rather than characters in their own right. The ones we haven't gotten full sets for are just off-screen. ;-)

 

The Kreons are cool and all, but I buy the sets mainly for the buildable characters.

Yeah, but I think that's a good compromise for the folks that only want the Kreons. As long as they don't phase out the building sets, I'm glad for the options.
