Looks like for once they are actually showing all the figures ahead of time here is the 4th in the boxset

Treadshot

So far out of the 4 reveals this is the only one I have a true want to get. After the disappointments of, Overlord and Soundwave. Treadshot is actually decent.

He might be out of place in the Exclusives section though as they do have the SG Sutobot spot left for Ultra Magnus and I believe Treadshot was suppose to have the SG Decepticon spot.

So unless Metalhawk is also from the SG universe. or Fun Publications put Treadshot in the wrong spot for the 6 figures

Fun Publications has officially unveiled Shattered Glass Heroic Treadshot, their fourth of six figures of their BotCon 2012 convention exclusive set. The figure utilizes the Transformers Reveal the Shield Special Ops Jazz mold and sports a brand-new head. The color scheme of the figure is very similar to the Transformers Armada Side Swipe figure. In other set news, Fun Publications has revealed that Metalhawk from the Classicsverse also sports a new head mold while Evil Autobot Ultra Magnus has "a surprise in store." What could it be? We'll have to wait until the official reveal. Check out the figure images in the gallery. For all of the information about the set, check out our checklist of the set. Read the Full News Story Here

according to their twitter account, registration was supposed to go live today. So i think we got Treadshot instead.

I like him, but i think doing a figure based on an obscure repaint is kind of silly. No one even suspected SG Treadshot would have been based on an Armada Sideswipe repaint.

Nice, but after seeing the G1 Action Master on which this one is based, I want a normal Treadshot toy. A color scheme that makes one think of Armada Sideswipe :puke is not a good thing.

Considering that this one is the first out of set that I truly want. And yes he looks nothing like the Actionmaster Treadshot kind of makes me wonder if he was suppose to have a different name. Maybe he was suppose to be Krok as Armada Sideswipe's paintjob is closer to Krok's then Tread Shot's.

The only one so far that I like is Soundwave, and that's only so he can go with Ravage. And I absolutely hate the Universe Ironhide mold. Unless Metalhawk is a winner, this set is looking to be a bust. I miss the days when Botcon had a couple of really good (usually) exclusives rather than several mediocre-at-best ones. Not to mention the days when Botcon was relatively affordable, and a lot more fun.

I blame Glen Hallit and his sad try with the OTFCC. which failed miserably and we got Botcon back, but since it came back under Fun Publication. most of the toys have been Meh at best, only a few diamonds. I would be glad if they went back to 2 figures that were awesome instead of a bunch were most can be easily tossed away. When I register I'm only going to keep Devcon (Overlord Gigatron), and Treadshot. Tracks and Soundwave will be offered up in the Endcap. waiting on Ultra Magnus and Metalhawk to decide about those two. But of those two are busts also. then I might just skip buying the set and get Devcon and Treadshot off of eBay

I never had a problem with Glen. If he somehow got the license back, I'd be thrilled. OTFCC 2004 was the 2nd best TF con I've been to - the best being `97 with the concert. When I tried Botcon again in 2010 it felt like a pale imitation of what Botcon used to be. Too much focus on merchandise and not enough on the experience. We should hear about potential guests before the toys - that's the main draw for me! Granted, the con needs to be profitable, but it just feels like FunPub puts their repaints above all else. The result is the con's just not as fun as it used to be. The club is worth it for the toy and newsletters, but the convention feels more like a money-grab than a gathering for fans.

Frankly, my money would be better spent trying to get another 1997 Fractyl and Packrat set. I sold it when I needed money toward a new car, and have regretted selling it ever since.

I had the opposite at OTFCC 2004, I even got into an argument with Aaron Archer, over the horrible designs that had been coming out and that he should step aside. There was virtually nothing displayed. You didn't get anything out of the panels, for what the panels were. Even the sellers were complaining. Which there were even not that many of. And to top it off there wasn't even a big name voice actor. . Only real fun was Botcon 2004 sure it wasn't official but it still had the true feel of Botcon. haven't been back since. Mostly because Fun Publications and the Club, and their slapping official all over everything, as that is not what Botcon has ever been about. But definitely glad that Glen is gone

Calling this SG Treadshot really does feel like an afterthought. It's more like Hasbro had plans for a Generations Armada Sideswipe and offered it up to Botcon to do something with or maybe it was meant for another set and they changed their plans. Whatever the case, even if they did paint this in proper colors it would be a hard sell as Treadshot which I thought was the whole point of SG (familiar characters in "opposite" colors). I wouldn't mind owning this, but I would certainly change the faction symbol and name.
