I don't know about prime_one but I'm about 75% serious.

 

It would be completely unique (how many people would do a homage to Wheelie?) and given the right shade of orange could look really good.

Since it is a futuristic car, I would indeed concur with making it a G1 season-3 character. Wheelie might indeed be a good choice, although I would keep the car in its current color instead of making him :puke orange.
