Help figuring out an old toy line

I keep remembering a toy I had as a kid, but can't recall the line at all. Googling hasn't gotten me too far and I was hoping some collective thinking could help me figure it out.

The only thing I remember about this action figure is that it's from the 90's and it had a lot of armor pieces that could come off and make a dragon or something. The armor pieces were all shiny red chrome. I also remember that I was reminded of it when I first saw ronin warriors a few years later.

I know that's not a lot of info to work with, but does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about, or does anyone have a good site to id 90's toys?

Thanks in advance! This has been bugging me for months.

EDIT:

I actually just found it:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Metal Turtles

You can also check out Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad. I actually got into that show. Little cheesy but was still kinda neat!

I don't remember those either and I was heavily into TMNT back then. Guess they never hit the US.

If Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad isn't it then maybe...

Ronin Warriors

Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog

EDIT:

Nevermind, I noticed the TMNT link before reading "I actually just found it:"
