Kre-O Mirage

[Goktimus Prime]

I built Optimus Prime in truck mode first, then to robot mode. So with Mirage I decided to go the other way around and built him as a robot first.

 

So here's what the robot mode looks like:

Yeah, I swapped the two Kre-Ons heads around. :P Makes the Mirage Kreon look like a Cosplayer! :D

 

Disappointingly there were 3 leftover pieces which I decided to use to make a stand for the Kreons...

 

 

So then I reassembled it into vehicle mode, which looks like this:

 

Even more disappointingly there were 12 left over pieces!! :O

 

After some fiddling around I made up this "Attack Mode" for Mirage:

It has wingalings and forward mounted cannons - screw aerodynamics, POW! POW! POW!!

 

The back of course has jets - FWOOOOOSH!

 

These Kre-Os would be better if they could incorporate all the pieces into both modes. Don't like having leftovers. :/

Agreed! The first one I got was Sideswipe, and I didnt know there would be extras, so I was frantically going through the instructions looking for where I missed the pieces. If I get a chance I will show pics of what I did with Starscreams leftovers.

 

I really like Kreos though. If only for the alt mode and Kreons. Other than the big Prime set, I havent really liked any of the bot modes. So much so that I have stopped even building the bot modes and go straight for the alt.

Wow, out of the corner of my eye, Mirage looked like a late G1 or Generations figure. Impressive.
