Editorial - Why Don Murphy Suggesting Another Transformers Trilogy But Not a Reboot Makes Sense

With the release of Transformers Dark of the Moon, Director Michael Bay says he is done. Shia LaBeouf says he will not return. What will happen? Mr. LaBeouf suggests a reboot and Tyrese Gibson suggested that maybe Executive Producer Steven Spielberg will step as director if Mr. Bay actually follows through. Don Murphy, a producer on all three Transformers films says there will "certainly not" be a reboot and suggests perhaps a second trilogy is at hand. And Ender's inner fanboy dies a little more...

 

Movie Prime toys, due to a combination of lameness (despite being the best of the movie designs) and proliferation have already caused me to do the unthinkable, decide to just ignore some new Primes. It's just not a good enough design to buy 600 times.

 

I made a joke a while back about hasbro's plan to reproduce the same 5 molds forever with no additions. Seems less funny now...
