Amazon Japan has posted some officiial looks at the much talked about Transformers Dark of the Moon Jetwing Optimus Prime action figure set. As usual, Takara Tomy has it going on with the Transformers goodness as it evidenced here with this really gorgeous pack that will be a homage to the flying prime we've seen in all the movie trailers. Chances are Hasbro will pull this out late this, or early next year. However, it probably won't be the same as Takara's. Check out the official images after the jump. Read the Full News Story Here

i want this. i really do. but that price tag is killing me. and with it coming out the same time as MP-10 doesn't help. But with no solid guarantee Hasbro will even release this in the states, i gotta import it.

I just think how 1 year ago, i would have never bought something like this or 3rd party figures, but now i'm all over it. I don't know what happened to me.

Thanks to Alfie, we have an in-depth gallery of TakaraTomy's Transformers Darkside Moon (the Japanese name for Transformers Dark of the Moon) DA15 Jetwing Optimus Prime. While this figure does not have the carcass of Jetfire, as the cancelled Unite for the Universe Optimus Prime was supposed to get, this is as close as it gets. We have grabbed some highlights of the vehicle and robot galleries and posted it in the gallery. If you are still not satisfied, hit up the source links for the rest. Read the Full News Story Here

Man I really want that. But, I am NOT paying those insane prices. I'll be happy with a Hasbro version if they release it.

Has anyone besides me noticed that this is, in fact, Buster Prime without the paint job?

Actually, if you noticed, there are a few other minor tweaks besides the paint job and new abdoment. The forearms are modified nicely with a lack of swords, and therefore no trigger, and the part near the elbow (but under the flap) has been modified as well.

What I'm going to do is a bit of a parts swap with the recent Buster Prime I came into possession of. The legs, back portion with tanks, upper arms and flaps over the lower arms. So I'm essentially leaving the torso alone. I'm kinda on the fence about the chest as far as swapping out the chest pieces. What they've done here reflects how he looks in the movie, but the Buster Prime one has the flames correctly pinstriped.

And crap, I hadn't noticed that this comes out around the same time as MP-10. I'll have to make a decision.

Well considering that I have no interest in MP-10, and Jetwing is only $175 over at BBTS. And with Hasbro releasing Ultimate Optimus Prime, I doubt Hasbro will bring Jetwing Prime over. So I'm going to buy Jetwing
