It is official and predictable: Transformers Dark of the Moon is rated PG-13. The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) gave the rating for intense prolonged sequences of sci-fi action violence, mayhem and destruction, and for language, some sexuality and innuendo. Yep, a Michael Bay film. The film premieres on July 1, 2011 in the United States. Read the Full News Story Here

They couldn't market the toys to kids if it had any higher rating than that. Is this a real surprise? Parents would be up in arms if it was rated R and they were marketing the toys to kids under 18. That's almost an instant lawsuit waiting to be exploited..... :roll

Says who? There was an entire line of Aliens action figures in the early 90's, and these WERE aimed at kids! Not to mention all the toys based on Mature rated games they've had over the years.

But yeah, this isn't surprising. PG-13 is how this series needs to be.

I wouldn't even mind a PG rating, as long as it got rid of some of those cringing dialogue moments. Just b/c it's an action movie doesn't mean it must be chalked full of bad one-liners, does it? What am I thinking...this is a Bay film, of course it does! :doh
