Sideswipe To Become Reality: 2013 Corvette C7

Sideswipe, featured in Revenge of the Fallen and to be seen in Dark of the Moon, will see his alt mode come to life in 2013. General Motors is slated to bring the 7th generation Corvette to showrooms in fall of 2012. The C7 carries over most of the design cues from the Stingray Concept vehicle that Sideswipe's alt mode is based from. Only minor changes, including the headlight assembly and side view mirrors, are noticeable. The signature split rear window will remain in the production module. No word yet on if Chevrolet will feature a "Sideswipe Limited Edition" like they did with the current generation Camaro/Bumblebee.

Wow does that car look great.

 

And filming red is hard depending on the lighting. Reflection of light coming off of red such as OP does come out weird.

The red in the picture above is a much darker tone which would work better but OP is a bright red.

Yep, we can have 3D motion picture cameras but shooting the color red is still a problem.

Cool; wish we had a photo from the front to see the new headlights. Although, for me, it just doesn't feel like a Corvette (especially a Stingray) without the double tail lights...

Well damn! Its about time the corvette started looking like a world class sportscar again, instead of a generic looking product of GM's usual boring styling studio. Way to go! And that split rear window has been a LONG time coming back to the 'vette.
