I keep liking this SS more and more. Not sure what it is.

Is it the wings. I won't buy this Starscream, but I think the wings are well placed in the robot mode. It seems like Hasbro finally decided that movie Starscream doesn't need to have the "crumpled jet" look to him. These simpler wings are much better than on previous Starscream toys.

"crumpled jet"? what do you mean?

All of the folding and compressing that has to be done to the wings and to the jet body in order to form the robot mode.

but there are only two wing folds in the leader figure.. which is the same amount there are here on this one.

If only he didn't have chicken legs.

the chicken legs really add to how awesome the character design is. plus, it makes him look stronger. more menacing, more alien, even more decepticon.

This deluxe mold seems to beat the Voyager molds hands down. Maybe because he has real hands this time around.

Who's talking about the Leader class toy? I'm talking about the two Voyager class toys.

Leader Class Hellscream is still the best mold out of all the Hellscreams we've gotten thus far.

Yet ironically this figure trumps the 2 Voyagers. Still, I'm passing on it as my Leader figure is superior and serves as Starscream's first lieutenant the best

not as bad as I originally thought but well my only problem with it is if his shoulders are stuck at a 90 degree angle.

I think this is the best starscream mold movie wise. This my fab starscream is still armada and g1 jointly.

I like this mold as he's not fat now in the stomach in the last mold he was big and bulky which ain't starscreams style this is sleek and predator like.

Just know the on screen performance will make him a whiny little thing again tho. >.> no depth.

My only complaint about this figure from the pics are the arms why can't we have normal arms that hang down and not this sideways then down thing.

starscreams got more depth than most of the other decepticons we've seen.

there is absolutely NO possible way this figure is anywhere even close to being better than the leader.

this figure does have a large undercarriage, but since this figure is so much smaller, the undercarriage also looks smaller. i mean, when you have the leader figure transformed right in front of you, the belly of the jet is barely noticeable. plus, you can't completely just discount the alt mode.. the leader starscreams alt mode is practically perfect.. whereas this one has very glaring problems.

you said starscream molds in general, which, would also include the leader class version.

No...No this isn't....

There's NO possible way this thing will EVER be able to capture Starscream's style in any way. The design was doomed to fail as soon as it was done

starscreams movie style, or G1?

i think this (movie) design starscream captures starscream perfectly. he's somewhat of a coward, he's on of the worlds greatest jets, he can really whoop some ass.. i think you're just afraid of change. i think the movie did a great job in capturing what starscream would look like in the real world were he has to be more menacing than incompetent and corny. I'm glad he doesn't just have a grey human face with a dark helmet.

anyways, we could go back and fourth on this forever, the fact remains that you're wrong and i'm right, lol, just kidding. but you might as well add every transformer in each of the movies to your signature. i personally love the difference. it's something new. and the best part about it is that his face is only that way for the movies, none of the other types of fiction is going to adopt that face. plus, your signature proves that his face looks more badass in the movie, and that's the way the decepticons look in the movies.

"Perfectly"?!?!? The fuck are you talking about?! He doesn't smirk!! That's Starscream's #1 most defining characteristic! The sinister smirk or grin he always wore when dealing out damage. No...Now he resembles nothing more than a mindless Decepticon grunt who shows no emotion.

"Lord Megatron, I was so..Relieved to hear of your...resurrection..."

REALLY?!?! Your face bears NO look of relief at all! Just anger/boredom/neutrality/shock. But where's the goddamn smirk?

Add every TF to my sig? Optimus Prime, Jazz, Shockwave, and (to some extents) Soundwave would like a word with you... Clearly you don't get what I'm going at with those images. If you look at all except for the bottom middle image, you can see a DISTINCT pattern. A pattern that CANNOT be broken. Bay dared break it and as such, I refuse to accept that piece of shit as "Starscream".

"But of course he won't fit. The movie was adapted for realism and not cartoons!" Again I say...Optimus Prime, Jazz, Shockwave, Soundwave... If Starscream can't keep his pattern, then NONE of the other TFs are allowed to either. Fair is fair! But since they have, then oh I guess this...thing simply CANNOT be accepted as starscream!

Badass the face may be, but Starscream it is NOT! Don't try throwing that "he's the best yet" bullshit at me again. I'm right and YOU'RE wrong!
