New images of some Transformers: Dark of the Moon toys has provided us a first look at the robot modes of the Deluxe Wreckers #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Amp car and the Human Alliance Basic Dune Buggy. The Wreckers Amp vehicle is a Chevrolet Impala which curiously does not look much like the vehicle used for filming. Read more. Read the Full News Story Here

*sigh* The Amp car has potential, but dear god ... look at the kibble! especially on the back and shoulders. WINGS?!? :tfsad I'm still ok with SS deluxe model, not thrilled, but accepting of it. The buggy does give me a bit more interest seeing his bot mode (minus the :poop on a stick weapon thing he's got) and I'm still torn on the Dread, I really wanna see some more close up and clear pics of him before I full decide.

I do know that IF I see any figures from this line that I do like, all those weapons are going into hiding :lol

:mwahaha im liking the impala. he looks mistransformed from the back though. and the dread still looks kickass Love%20Struck.gif:win:beer

Eeeew! That giant weapon that the HA toy is holding instantly makes it look like crap. It's good thing that weapon doesn't go with that toy

I really don't think the smaller human alliance toys will still have the $30 price point. If so, I will sadly have to pass. So far, dotm is looking like a total failure of a toy line. Wow.

Bummed about the human alliance jeep. He looks too small to make me want to pay $30 for it.

i highly doubt it will cost $30. actually, i'm pretty certain that it wont.

i really really loved the movie designs. i think rotf had a whole bunch of really great figures ie.. leader starscream, leader prime, human alliance bumblebee, sideswipe, skids, mudflap, jazz, and barricade, lockdown, bludgeon.. etc.

but man, these figures look horrendous. it looks like the cost to make these terrible oversized fischer price weapons is really ruining these figures.

lets start with the nascar.. are they serious? they're giving us just a standard nascar? that impala car that we've seen filming is incredibly awesome. this figure looks like some reject that missed weapons day at the shop. i really hope we get a human alliance version that is actually accurate.

next is the human alliance figure.. easy pass for me. it just doesn't have a movie feel. most of the movie-verse scouts are missing the movie feel. this just looks like a genera-transformer that some other company could have released.

starscream.. so far it just looks terrible. hopefully we will se some properly transformed photos of this guy. i plan on getting him to stand with my deluxe ironhide. and again.. the weapons are.. well, they're just lame.

dreads is the only one that has peaked my interest a bit. the pinchers are interesting (hopefully they're accurate) i honestly don't mind the dreads all that much on this figure. and i have a feeling that after seeing the character in the movie they'll fit the character more, which in turn will make me enjoy the figure a bit more. the alt mode is pretty cool, i love the legs, and the arms aren't bad. i do however wish the chest had incorporated some of the alt mode, but oh well.

i honestly just don't understand what hasbro was thinking with these weapons. i mean, i'm sure that they had to take away from the amount of money that could've been spent on either better engineering, paint, or accuracy. the worst is that they don't even look good with the figure in either mode. they're not integrated well and the ports on some of the figures are just an eyesore. almost every figure looks like some kind of cheap fast action battler. i mean, just look at prime. it seriously looks ridiculously cheap.

oh well. i'm sure part of it is also that we've been so spoiled with reveal the shield and generations. i just hope there are at least a couple figures in each wave and in each size class that really make this line worth it. leader bumblebee (although redundant) is looking very cool, and will be getting that. especially since nothing else looks all that promising.

Thats a scythe, I'd gladly take that and find a bigger figure to pair it with. Might look good on The Fallen.
