First Looks at Mastermind Creations HOS Insections Combiners

Following up on the previous report, we now have our some looks a set of the entire Hearts of Steam Insecticons combiners. The good people at Mastermind Creations have been working on a set, but these may NOT be them. The images courtesy of ACtoys zdszds198932 shows us what the Kickback, Shrapenel and Bombshell figure may look like in their unpainted prototype forms. I posted about this in the update box, as it seemed dubious. I read elsewhere that this is not the Insectrain that Mastermind has been working on. Instead its an unrelated project for some guy in college using a 3D printer or something. I dunno either way, thus the WTF in the update box.

I would most likely pass on this one. While I like the fact they combine and their Alt mode is neat, their Robot modes leave a little wanting. If they had their Insect modes as well, I would reconsider....

 

So is this just merely a fan who has a 3D printer or is this actually being developed by a 3rd party company?

I have to agree with that. Maybe they could have had a "rivets and steel plates" look to them, but they should still be robot insects. I don't why they had to form into a train.

If they can turn Grimlock into a Tank then I see no reason why they can't turn the Insecticons into a Train :tfevil

Its fine with me because in the comic they are based on, they never transformed into Insects either. Besides, everyone can be happy here since FansProject is making Insecticons too. Just a guess but I bet when they do their retools of those figures that they'll be the Swarm.

 

edit: Although I'd prefer the other four Insections, Venom, Ransack and especially Chop Shop and Barrage.
