Bumblebee Involved In Crash with Washington DC Police Vehicle During Filming

I am sure with Bumblebee they have like half a dozen! But really, in the event of an emergency vehicle on the way to a scene etc. I wouldn't have cared how much filming the officer ruined. Scenes can be reshot, saving a life is more important!

Are they still using custom-made Camaros, like in TF1, or are these modified production cars? Recall that for the first movie, they had Saleen build Camaro bodies that were grafted onto Pontiac GTO chasses(tricky since they're unibody cars). Not sure if they did that for ROTF or this movie.

$23K? Wow, you're cheap! You can barely get a bare bones stock Camaro with a V6 and a stick shift for $23k. This was one of the original concept vehicles specially rigged for Mr Bay. $23k to REPAIR it would be a cheap estimate, especially with all the carbon fiber.

Oh no, my friend, replacement cost would be more like $230k

No, ROTF and TF3 are using production vehicles with some mods specifically for the movie.

TF1 did that because it was still in concept stage, so the show car was one-of-a-kind and they had to take molds of the body style and do what you talked about.

Can they get bumblebee repaired or are they going to get a new bumblebee?

It not that simple, first you must see if he can be repaired. Then see which option in faster, cheaper, and ultimately, better.

If it is real, good thing it didn't happen in the Original TF movie of 07. That would have been a 3.5 million dollar crash. That rivals the Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari Enzo in terms of damage to dollars, not that they are even close but puts the price tag in perspective.

I think that accident was real. I think that would be a total *'RICHARD' move if it turns out to be "Shenanigans". Crying wolf like that isn't funny at all. :fire

* - substitute common abbreviation for Richard.
