I just received issue 15 of the Titan Transformers Magazineseries.

Written by Robin Etherington, with art by Jon Davis-Hunt the story begins with the NEST crew tracking a string of random attacks on the open seas.

The attacker is discovered to be Soundwave. At first, and very uncharacteristically, Soundwave just seems to be joy riding, attacking ships to blow off steam. Shortly later, it is discovered that he's following orders from Megatron to make a wreak some havoc in true Decepticon style.

Major Lennox and Sargent Epps are ready for him and Soundwave is quickly put on the run straight into "The Bermuda Triangle"

Soundwave does his best to escape in a electric storm and emerges from the clouds free from pursuit with a new target in his sights, The USS Cyclops which was lost in 1918!?!

Soundwave is quickly targeted by the ship as explosive shells bombard him. Racing for the stratosphereere he's met by a fleet of 1940's Avenger Bombers (the infamous Flight 19 no less) and is pummeled harshly by good ol' fashion bullets in what apears to be fluxualting time?

With shields at near 0% Soundwave decides to seek refuge on the one place safe The Moon....

My thoughts,

The story was very quaint. Predictable even pulling out the old Bermuda Triangle bit. Sorry but it doesn't get much hokier then that.

The story also leaves some unopened questions like what will a Decepticon of Soundwave's intellect do some 90 years in the past.

Revive Megatron early, seek The Allspark for himself, have a encounter with Sector 7 in it's early days?

We'll just have to wait and hope that future issues give us a good story.

The actual book itself,

This is my first time holding anything from Titan. I have to say as someone who left comics in general a while ago, this book is great, even though it may not be "Mint Collector" friendly.

First off the book is about a third larger then a regular comic. Taped right to the cover are 6 free Transformers Magnets featuring

-1 autobot logo

-1 decepticon logo

-Jetfire

-Power Up Prime

-Arcee

-Rampage

The Centerfold is a nice clean poster of the cover art without all the print and what not.

While the story itself is short, there 5 pages of a wide variety of games, puzzles, fan art, and a color it yourself pic of Devastator.

There's also a Memoriam to Jazz which just lists some fun facts about the character and his development over the years.

The book itself seems to really want to focus on the idea of fun, and theres nothing wrong with that!
