War for Cybertron Quadruple XP This Weekend! Level Up the Holy Cow Fast Way!

Activision has announced that they will be hosting a quadruple (4x) XP this weekend bonanza this weekend! That's right, that means you can level up the super fast crazy way! The fun begins August 20th at 9PM Eastern/6PM Pacific! Read the Full News Story Here

Its a way to keep people playing. Not to mention that other top tier shooters do the same thing. Although, Modern Warfare 2 did it only once that I know of and WFC is on it's 3rd or 4th time. Gears tops it tho, theyve done a billion. Their latest event was TWELVE times the experience. It was insane.

Wish I could join in. I'd love to play catch up with 4x XP but I'll be up at Wizard World so I can't complain too loudly. I will take advantage of one of these bonus weekends though....

Not only that but it can enable those less experienced players to stand a chance..

I can see how regular players might feel like these events "cheapen" all the hard work they put into earning their stats... but on the other hand, I work full time and I don't have as much leisure time as I used to. It makes leveling my guys pretty hard--I'm still only up to an average of level 3, spread across the 4 classes. I haven't even figured out which class I like best, yet. These extra experience events really help me round out my equipment list.

 

That's all they do, though! Those of you with the time to put in two or five or ten times as many hours of practice as I can, are still going to thrash me every time. It doesn't matter what abilities I have or how long it took me to earn them; the skilled, dedicated player is going to outmaneuver the casual gamer almost every time. You're still winning, why complain? ;)

You heading to Wizard World Chicago?? Man, I was supposed to go to that one but I got my orders to San Antonio instead. Wizard World Austin is in November though.

 

So, playing the game online, does anyone think that the TransformerVerse would or wouldn't make a good MMO? I know their doing it overseas but I think it would do well here too.

Yeah all it does is help you gain levels and upgrades, what level your character is isnt alway an indication of skill.
