Well that does make some sense about the Twin Boom Fighter, but I would rather have a name go with it unless that is Strafe but doubtful. If they do released Grapple and he is a retool of the Universe Inferno mold that is some major retooling of the mold. Only mold that comes to mind for a repaint Grapple is Cybertron Mudflap and that is not an outstanding mold. The TF1 Mudflap repaint is already in Grapple's colors.

 

Already know I'm going to pass on Axor, like I did Lockdown.

Terradive? if all they are doing is changing the head mold I'm passing on that, as it looks like they are using Animated Starscream's body

I think it's best to see if a Transformer is a good toy first, then worry about who the character is and all of that other stuff.

 

Agreed. A figure may be alot of fun but not live up to it's namesake or faction. That doesn't mean hate everything about it.

To me it just means enjoy the figure in a way that works for you, and leave it at that :thumb

I've explained this. I like the design and the robot, but I HATE it as Starscream. He makes for an AWESOME mindless jet grunt or something. He just doesn't look like SS at all. Hence the name "Hellscream". Though I like the name "General Skyhammer" too...

 

i don't see how you can hate it as starscream.. it's everything starscream epitomizes. if you don't like that as starscream.. how can you like ANY of the movie characters that use their G1 namesakes? makes no sense.. to me at least.

 

He epitomizes Starscream's sadistic love of carnage, chaos, and destruction? When and where did he smirk in any of the movies?....Yeah that's what I thought....

A pattern was clearly disrupted. Optimus Prime's pattern was kept fluid, but even though Starscream had just as solid of a pattern, the movies STILL twisted and mangled it.

Starscream was never a chaos or destruction character, and honestly, go get a smiley sticker, slap it over his head and get over it.

 

Even in your sig, you have a G1 i'm a happy wiener face right next to something that looks like it'll rip the :poop out of you in a very chaotic and destructive manner with a demonic smirk.

 

All these things are the things you say you want, unrepresented in all the versions except the one you hate!?!

Energon SS was a zombie. You can't fault him for that. And no that isn't a smirk. You can see his upper lip is still ^ shaped, indicating a frown.

I rename figures all the time, my TF1 Megatron is called Fury, and for me that works.

 

Here's the think though about doing that and constantly arguing the point.

 

In any forum topic I can't call him Fury, unless I'm explaining the name change. Otherwise who the hell would know what I'm talking about?

So on my shelves, he's Fury. With the understanding that people aren't gonna jump on my band wagon, in topic and discussion, he's TF1 Megatron.

I leave it at that normaly tending to keep my prefrence to myself instead of inflicting it in dam near every thread.

 

In short, your welcome to do what you want with your figures, change names, stories, whatever. I'm an adimant believer about this. Hell I have a 10piece attack fleet just of TF1 Starscream, and no, I don't call any of them Starscream.

I'm not gonna get upset though that it's the name on the box though, and the general fact that people call him that.

 

Besides, TF2 Dirge makes for a much more acurate Hellscream if you take the points off the top of his head.

 

 

"Twin Boom Fighter" is just a description of the alt mode, not a name or indication of a two pack.
