ANyone else thinking Hasbro will replace Universe Inferno's water cannon with a crane and call it Grappel?

 

As for Seaspary, anyone thinking they will repaint it darker and make it as Decepticon as "Transformers" Shortround or Storm Surge?

 

That's what I thought they would do ever since Inferno was released. Later on, I decided that it wouldn't work in the same way it did for G1 Inferno and Grapple. Universe Inferno very much a fire truck, whereas the G1 toy was a little more open to interpretation.

 

I'm still thinking they will do it, despite the fact that it might not look right. This is Hasbro you know.

I've explained this. I like the design and the robot, but I HATE it as Starscream. He makes for an AWESOME mindless jet grunt or something. He just doesn't look like SS at all. Hence the name "Hellscream". Though I like the name "General Skyhammer" too...

I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro used the same water cannon, added a red "flame" missile, and called it a welding torch.

I rename figures all the time, my TF1 Megatron is called Fury, and for me that works.

 

Here's the think though about doing that and constantly arguing the point.

 

In any forum topic I can't call him Fury, unless I'm explaining the name change. Otherwise who the hell would know what I'm talking about?

So on my shelves, he's Fury. With the understanding that people aren't gonna jump on my band wagon, in topic and discussion, he's TF1 Megatron.

I leave it at that normaly tending to keep my prefrence to myself instead of inflicting it in dam near every thread.

 

In short, your welcome to do what you want with your figures, change names, stories, whatever. I'm an adimant believer about this. Hell I have a 10piece attack fleet just of TF1 Starscream, and no, I don't call any of them Starscream.

I'm not gonna get upset though that it's the name on the box though, and the general fact that people call him that.

 

Besides, TF2 Dirge makes for a much more acurate Hellscream if you take the points off the top of his head.

i don't see how you can hate it as starscream.. it's everything starscream epitomizes. if you don't like that as starscream.. how can you like ANY of the movie characters that use their G1 namesakes? makes no sense.. to me at least.

I think it's best to see if a Transformer is a good toy first, then worry about who the character is and all of that other stuff.
