FansProject Updates Crossfire02 Color Combo Images

Thanks to FansProject who has posted an update about the Crossfire 02 update set in combined mode. The new images give us some first looks at painted rendiditions of the figures combines and with accessores on the robots. I think Hasbro/Takara should start hiring some of these guys to work for them. They obviously put more care and thought, in terms of character designs, into their work than Hasbro/Takara does by giving fans what they want.

I'm glad that FansProject colored these to match the ROTF Bruticus Maximus. Whatever Hasbro thinks of FansProject, I bought that set on the chance that FansProject would make an add-on kit, so I'm glad I did that.

I almost wish they started this from scratch.

Much like the awesome Superion set, I fear the Hasbro pieces wont be able to keep up.

 

Cruddy hips and shoulders even with the upgrade are still a hurt...

 

But yeah, it's been on preorder and I do look forward to it. If I was a richer man I'd spring for two to keep one in combined bot mode. Nice as that is, that alt just screams display me!

Hmmm look great...I'm not a big Bruticus fan, I do have the RID repaint. If someone did a good Devastator I would buy that one first...or the Areilbots

Ever notice in the G1 show that Superion had this long big gun attached to his right arm?

 

 

But on the figure it isn't there

I just wish there was a way of changing Onslaught and Brawl's head to more G1 looking ones. I may even try removing the missile bits on brawl's head and making a face plate so that he looks a bit better. Just wish I could sculpt as I'd make a new head for Onslaught
