This is how I explain SWTFs, it only incorporates the figures I care about, and is told in times between the SW films. If it clashes with any actual "facts" please keep in mind, this is my personal fic and I could honestly care less. Now hopefully enjoy

Star Wars

Transformers

It was a long time ago, in a galaxy far from far away…

It was to be the climax of a war that time would forget. An attempt to cleanse vast misdoings.

A doomsday weapon began to fire on a planet that would one day be called Earth. The initial blast wave knocked hundreds of stranded life support pods out of orbit.

While most plummeted to the ground, several were shot into space by shockwaves and carried even further as the doomsday device was destroyed.

The life support systems in the few jettisoned pods known were damaged, but death was not a thing easy to fall upon the creatures inside. Vacant, they drifted through the vast.

The first of these pods found was in a desolate part of space on the outskirts of a planet called Hsskhor. A warrior training was in meditative retreat there, honing his skills for when he would be called upon.

This warriors would be known as Darth Maul.

Maul kept a close camp near his ship, a small craft meant for his personal use. For years he contemplated alone, awaiting his lord’s summoning. Near a master isolation, he could not resist giving chase to oddity of a fire ball hurtling out of the sky.

He traveled half around the globe before he reached the impact sight, the land charred and in ruin. He was unfamiliar with the type of craft in the center of the crater. It was surely nothing of the Republic.

He landed his craft close to the pod, and exited the safety of his ship. The heat would have been stifling for most, but these are the things Maul was sent here to learn to endure.

He neared the pod with caution as a panel opened on it and a wave of light shot from a extruding arm.

Caught in the glare Maul was convinced he was under attack, but the event passed as soon as it began. Tentative Maul stepped back.

The pod shimmied as it opened.

Maul reached for his weapon still slowly stepping back.

An odd substance began writhing from the pod charged, with power, it was like a metallic water.

Maul stood his ground. As he did he saw the chaos take shape before him as the mass settled in the shape of his transport.

Maul sneered at the demon thing, and returned to his craft. He rose into the stratosphere of Hsskhor, and when he felt safe at distance opened fire upon the doppelganger.

The barrage lasted for several minutes. As the dust cleared he zoomed his crafts camera in to inspect the wreckage and was mortified to find what looked like a giant metal casting of his face.

In a sneer of rage, maul opened fire again.

With his anger spent, he returned to his vigil unthinking or caring that the entire event was captured on his transports scanners.

Time passed, events transpired, Darth Maul was laid to waste, and a new warrior was put in his place. In all this, the events of that day were near lost to the ages.

This new warrior, a merger of man and machine was not sent on sabbatical to hone his patience. This warrior, Darth Vader needed to spend extended periods of time in isolation chambers as his form was maintained.

In the countless hours he spent alone, Vader studied. Learning all he could to best serve his new charge in life. Second in command to his Master, he was in constant learning of his empire‘s transpiring.

Lost in study he came across the files of his predecessor Darth Maul. He wanted to know how a warrior of his caliber was trained. In doing so he came across a peculiar video file.

What he saw astonished him, and he needed to know more of these alien pods and what they carried.

It was a dilemma though, his duties left him little to no time outside of his isolation chamber to examine this, but he needed to know more.

Vader decided it would be best to outsource this task. In secrecy he summoned a rising bounty hunter named Boba Fett. He also granted a stay of execution to a pair of talented smugglers to chart the stars and find more of these pods.

Boba accepted the challenge and set off in his personal ship. The smugglers called Han and Chewy where granted an Empire vessel, a relic from the days of the Republic.

They were advised to keep their distance and only use tractor beams should a pod be found.

Heading separate ways they scoured the space ways, scoffing about their task, but fearing Vader to much to think of straying, let alone failing.

Han and Chewy were the first to have success.

They knew it would be foolish and death was certain if discovered, but they decided to pirate the artifacts. What they came across wasn’t exactly what was described to them. It seemed to be a pair of pods fused together.

The ship they were granted would not be large enough to transport the object. They also feared being spied upon so they bargained with a contemporary for use of his freighter.

Han stepped once again aboard a ship he was familiar with since childhood, and one day dreamed of owning for himself. At the controls he used a tractor beam to pull the pods onboard.

As the fused object grew closer it also sprang to life, and same as before matter like metal in a way almost magic took form and shape and before Han and Chewy was a duplicate of The Millennium Falcon.

An indescribable awe and excitement took the pair and they were quick to transfer to the new ship, and claim it for their own.

Boba in the meanwhile was as ever a professional. In time he too found a clutch of drifting pods. Three to be exact.

He did as ordered and transported them with the greatest care possible in concerns of distance. Fett had no actual idea what these artifacts were and had no care to damage his vessel. He followed the give protocol.

Fett contacted Vader who ordered him to an outer edge of space . Their meeting was to be a private one. It was no easy task for Vader to make this venture as there was no shortage of watchful eyes upon him.

Vader convinced his lord to give him a brief excursion to test a new type of Tie Attack fighter, the staple ship of the empire.

With matters of state and a great construction underway, The Emperor was reluctant, but to preoccupied to truly care and allowed Vader to go.

Vader met with Fett, who asked what news came from Han and Chewy. Few words were needed as Vader explained they were being hunted. He also disclosed that somehow, time and time again when cornered they decimated even the most elite imperial pilot.

Boba was taken a back by that news as Vader proclaimed the value and urgency of needing these pods.

Vader confided in Boba what he believed them capable of, and sure of his loyalty offered Boba a chance to further the assignment.

The bounty hunter couldn’t resist.

Two of the three pods where cast into the distance. Once thought at a secluded point Vader, and Boba approached each in their own ships. Upon close enough range, sure enough a scanner emerged washing themselves in their ships in a brilliant light.

As before, their crafts were duplicated before them.

Vader instructed Fett to enter and examine the copy of the Slave1. He did so, and after a full inspection of the new craft sent a signal to the original ship to leave for an undisclosed place till summoned once again.

Vader in kind also entered his craft. He tested the weapons on the tie ship he arrived in and was more then impressed by the new crafts destructive power.

In his eventual return to the empire he would recommend the type of fighter, but be sure to tend to this craft himself. Vader knew he couldn’t let the greater secrets of these ships be known, not yet. This is why the original had to be destroyed.

Boba was impressed by Vader’s display, but both knew there was more to these ships. The two drifted near each other for a while searching every control for the true reward.

It was Vader who eventualy routed his bionic limbs into the networking of the cloned ship who found the true purpose of these things.

Initially it looked like the ship was coming apart. Boba feared as he watched wondering if his craft would crumble leaving him stranded in space.

Then after a few moments the organization of movement became clear that this was definitely something meant to happen. The tie ship was transforming so to speak. As it seamed the light that scanned them copied not only their ships, but them as well…

The evidence was a slow turning massive robotic Darth Vader now in the place where a facsimile tie ship once was.

While the robot wasn’t exactly a copy of Vader as it was the tie. Vader in the pilot seat could feel this thing should have a life of its own. He knew that essence was long lost, and the coping of both him and his ship is the outcome of loosing that self.

This thing was essentially a corpse for him to control.

He sent Boba the command to weave his personal control system into the ships computers. Boba did so and watched as his ship changed into a crude version of himself.

Ever the professional, Boba took his new ship in a task to hunt down Han and Chewy…

Before leaving the scene Vader contemplated the use of the third pod, but for the time, opted to leave it till he understood the phenomena of these transformers more.

Once again as always, time passed…

In the lull, Vader tended to his craft on his own, telling the local mechanics that it was good for him as he was once a pilot himself. Fortunately for a man in Vader’s position, the ship needed little to no service, and on the outset seemed like little more then a hobby for him.

Secretly though, Vader brought in the best mech droids and engineers sworn to secrecy under penalty of despair before death to help him exploit this alien technology.

They made special modifications to the ship so only Vader could pilot it. They included many ports and interfaces that expanded his life support bionics into the ship itself.

They were becoming one, and still, time passed….

It was during this time in eventualy that Boba grew weary of watching Han and Chewy’s every movement. The bounty hunter found them, he learned their routine, and confident of a strike plan contacted Vader.

Dropping everything Vader rushed to Boba’s location with a small escort, an escort that was spotted by a refugee named Quilger who feared the empire had found him. Quilger sought out Han and Chewy, the two best smugglers in the system and begged them to help him escape.

Their hearts sunk. Not by the request, but by the truth the knew. The empire could probably care less about Quilger. This was Boba Fett, they knew they were found.

As the assault team reached the outer atmosphere of Bespin, the pair rocketed off hoping they still had luck on there side, their ace in the hole so to speak.

Vader and Boba saw what looked like a rickety craft leave the stratosphere and took immediate chase.

Shot and laser flared in the chase.

Matched move for moved and unable to outpace their pursuers, Han and Chewy took their positions and activated there last hope as red rays of energy pummeled their hulls.

The Falcon split in half giving the Tie Fighter pilots a reason to cheer.

Vader and Boba knew all to well it wasn’t time to celebrate yet as the halves of the ship took new shapes and tore through the awestruck fighter pilots.

As the faces of Han and Chewy topped the mechs Vader and Boba signaled each other and transformed themselves.

The battle seemed in Han and chew’s favor as they had both size and fire power on their side. However it was no match for the skill of two of the finest fighters in the quadrant.

The battle ragged, damage was suffered on both sides. In a coward’s retreat, both Han and Chewy boarded escape pods as their mechs were continually assaulted fighting only on a preprogrammed remote.

Watching on, it was Has who set the self detonation aboard the falcon’s halves destroying the four titanic machines.

Boba survived, adrift in space, his life suit heavily damaged he angulated trying to stave off death as a power other then his own guided him to the remains of the Tie’s cockpit.

With luck and shield, Vader was able to protect his vital components and used the force to spare Boba.

Boba in kind returned the favor sending a signal which summoned the original Slave 1 to their location.

For now it would seem, the era of the transformers was over. At least one would think. The matter was discouraging, but Vader put it out of his mind as affairs of The Empire took dominance. His Master’s Death Star, was complete, and ready to be activated.

These were busy times for Vader and the matter of the Transformers was far from pinnacle in his mind. Still, in chambers, while being maintained, he could only imagine “what if… “

As it would be, the Death Star was destroyed, and chaos ran amuck through the hierarchy of the empire.

In the chaos, Vader found an opportunity. He gathered the mech droids and engineers who aided him in his time with the Advanced Tie, and sent them on a quest he only wished he could have gone on himself.

They were equipped with all the data they attained in their research, and coordinates to a treasure Vader left hidden.

His ambition, if there was to be a second Death Star, why not a third?

This would not be just any Death Star, it would be something with power beyond compare!

In the deepest depths of space, Vader kept track of the projects development. He even commissioned new raw changeable mechs to be built based on the empires most advanced designs.

The new Death Star in secret was completed, all it needed was for Darth Vader to make the move to immortality and merge himself within it’s core.

Feeling Victorious, Vader used the force and choked the life out of every tech on his prodigy. This was to be his, and his alone.

Or so it would have been as fate deemed Darth Vader should be no more shortly after.

Now, with no life, lost purpose, let alone meaning. An outcast from a forgotten war, mangled, mutated, and mutilated, drifts through the expanse of space.

A sphere of unfathomable power, ignorant of it’s potential waiting dormant for a master who will never come.
