This is what I was afraid of with these sets being based around a scout class. They're to small for what they have to do and still look good.

I normaly don't mind Minicons, but what the hell is with the gear arms?

The Legends drones just look bad, and the combiners are to cumbersome.

I like the idea of smaller combiners, and minicons don't bother me, I just think they would have been better off basing these on Deluxe figures. I do like a couple of the homage pieces.

I'm not declaring these a win, but I'm not calling them suck either, I gotta see them in hand and read a couple reviews before I put my verdict out there...

I kinda like the idea of these. It combines the concepts of G1 gestalts, Target Masters, and Brest Masters into one set. From the news article, they are larger than scout but smaller than deluxe sized figures. The only downside to these figs IMO is the clear plastic on the Minicons as I'm sure there are some nice sculpted details we won't get to see.

Amazing. Everything else is great to decent, but Superion and Bruticus are crap.

Yeah, there seems to be some loss of execution when it comes to the larger, combined robots. No definite hands or feet. That bothers me. Very similar to the Energon combiners. Individually, I don't mind the little guys. Even if they are drones (for the combiners). I really like the other core combiners with the mini-cons. I Love the translucent plastic. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

*consults flow chart* Okay, so there's 2 packs and 5 packs, And the two packs contain a scout and a minicon, and the minicons are quadruple changers that can be a robot or a vehicle or a weapon for the scout or a powerup for a combined scout. The scout has two heads and can combine with the legends figures, sold separately. Then the five packs come with a scout with 2 heads but not a minicon and the it has 4 drones that transform into limbs when attached but not into individual robots, and everything cross connects and everything is interchangeable with everything else.

Okay... I don't get it.
