Longtime Transformers comic artist and box art illustrator Dan The Art Guy (Dan Khannha) has posted some of his original artworks of unreleased Energon leaders Megatron and Optimus Prime for sale on Ebay. The images are box art for two never produced store exclusive figures from the Energon series including Megatron in black and glo-green (Energon) colors and the leader class Optimus Prime figure in black and red colors rumored to be the Christmas Optimus Prime that images have surfaced of in the past. These images are great!

I wish they would go back to using paintings on box art.

Also, I'd love to get my hands on that Megatron!

I know alot of people don't like Energon Prime but I do, I'd get Santa Convoy too!

The artwork for it makes it look great.

Also makes me kick myself for missing out on the Energon Optimus with trailer/armor. (managed to get the deluxe one, though. His shorts always fall down around his ankles. :lol )

Heeey, Hasbro, if you want to make a sell, release Santa Optimus in time for X-Mas and I'll buy it!

These sort of unused concepts would be neat filler for the Universe line. We dind't even get any Energon homages in Universe anyways. Why not release these guys with some story about how Megatron tried an experimental dark-energon upgraded which corrupted his systems and drove him made for a time, this was the result. Something that sorta invents a reason for these weird redecos.

I've read and seen nothing good about Energon Optimus Prime.

Energon Prime is not as bad people make Him out to be.

He looks pretty decent in super mode!

Here is Santa Convoy

It too Power Rangery for my taste. If those limbs had robot modes too, I think I would give that toy a shot, but not as it is.
