Thanks to yizhi521, we have a look at a live, not Photoshopped, version of the mail away Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Ravage. When we first reported about the figure earlier this week, the Photoshopped version gave off more a silver look, but the live look shows that the figure has chrome! Does this new chrome detailing, which Hasbro has never really paid much mind to, alter your hunting plans for the figures from the N.E.S.T. Global Alliance subline? <br />

that does change things a bit. I may retcon my lack of intrest.

yeah. i do wish the back legs were chrome too.. but i think the guns look great, i wish they had done the entire figure in chrome... i was probably going to get this figure anyways, i really want the soundwave, so i may as well get this too. maybe we'll see more chromed mail away figures in the future. i wish they had done the eye red. i always wondered why in the world the first ravages eye was purple.

yeah why do the front but not the back legs?

The whole thing in chrome I wouldn't like, but if they used it instead of the red on the back spikes I'd be happy.

yeah, i'd be cool with that.

i would just like all or most of it chrome so it'd be more accurate.. i'd scuff it up with some black and some dirt colors.. add some gold detail.

if people don't really like the red.. you could probably just remove the chrome pieces of the new one and put those on the old one. just kinda take which parts you like best about both of them and put them together... could be cool.. maybe not, but it could be.

and yeah.. for once a hasbro figure looks better in person than their photoshopped version does.

If this was a regular retail figure, I'd be more prone to some touch up work.

I have a feeling though they aren't going to make this cheap to get. Even if it was a retail exclusive I could see tampering with it, but I'd feel weird tampering with it.

I figure it this way. Outside of the red, I like it. I also have 5 of the regular figure stalking my shelves. This may very well just go straight into my MSIB collection.

5? lol wow.

didn't the information say that it was only going to cost $4.95 or something for shipping and handling?

edit*

never mind, you have to buy 2 other nest figures to get 3 stickers and mail those in with only having to pay for shipping.

not bad.

i wish they would have done this for the universe figures.. having red alert be the exclusive figure.

and for animated they could have done this and gave us deluxe cliffjumper.

yeah but you have to buy all the different figure sets to get the stickers to send in for it.

The first is a repaint 2 pack thats going to probably cost $20+ The other elidgeble boxes will probably follow in suit much like how when the GIJoe 25th line started the stickers for the Doc mail in figure could only be found in the 2 packs.

$4.99 is for them to ship it, the actual cost is still really unknown.

As for 5 Ravages, well, normaly I don't like multiples, but some figures are just undeniable army builders. I also disreguard provided fiction when it comes to my collection so they aren't Ravage. They're anccient Cybertron beasts TM2 Megatron revived with a Dark Matrix.

I also want 3 Fallens. They'll be like attack hounds for him.

I really don't care about the shows or the bios, they're just there for fun. When I buy a figure, it takes on the life I want it to have.

I just noticed your edit. I agree with your idea on the figure that should be the mail in. Again, I love the idea, I just don't like the aproach or offering all that much.

I know G1 is the most horrible thing ever and I'm dated for saying this, but if they're gonna do a mail in, do Robot Points. The beauty of those was real simple, even the most basic figure would give you at least 1 point. Hell I got my first Optimus Prime not to mention Sunstreaker, Override, and Reflector with those.

This chasing down 2 packs of figures you probably already have is a genius way to move over stock, but it's still kinda a screw to the fanbase.

I love the idea, I'm just not feelin the execution.
