To glue or not to glue

So I have the movie 1 blue Ironhide mold. I know the windshield/roof assembly is meant to detach so it does not break. But mine has gotten so weak it falls off if you even breath near it. I really love this mold and it gets transformed alot. So my question to all of you is do you think it would be safe to glue it on, or do you think that would cause it to break during transformation? I was holding out for the upcoming jungle attack ironhide, but now I see the rear doors are attached to the roof on that version, so that makes me hesitate.

My TF1 Ironhide has basicly been transformed twice, and I'm looking to off it in lue of Jungle Attack.
