Did anyone else catch the tidbit about there being a new cartoon?

Huh? Did I totally miss that...(going back & checking now)

You referring to this: "Voyager Blackout - Helicopter, earth mode in a future appearance." :schin

I guess TFormers didn't pick up on it. TFW2005 had a live thing going on where someone was typing news as the conference happened. Something popped up about a new cartoon down the road.

New cartoon series will be of Animated's quality

See lower comment about this. Hasbro aso of now has not made any official comment about a new show.

So......we're getting our Animated toys? Awesome!

Although, Voyager Blackout, he'll be too small, voyager BB, won't he be far too big? Another lockdown? Uh....why? Oh well, Rodimus, Arcee, Soundblaster and Ironhide are all I could ask for. After them, I really don't care, although, a Wasp would be cool with his own head.

While I'm glad they're continuing at least some of the Animated figures, there's still a lot not accounted for: Constructicons, Omega Supreme, Strika, Spittor, Cyclonus, Brawn, Perceptor, Alpha Trion, and a few others. Out of all the re-issues that were listed, we could have gotten more new characters. :shrug Anybody know if there was any Q&A for this panel today? I still want some answers as to why this series was canned so quickly, and why the toy production was lagging so far behind the entire time? If not today, then hopefully we'll get some answers tomorrow...

Hasbro referred the cancellation to Cartoon Network, who has referred it to Hasbro. Vibe I get: Drop the issue, no one is gonna tell you why. Enjoy all the movie stuff we're gonna cram down your gullet.

Again, there was nothing mentioned about a new series. I think the problem is that the context of Blackout was misquoted. Blackout had intention of having an Earth mode and being featured in an Animated episode, but due to the show's termination it didn't happen. However, they will give us a toy (the alt mode is movie influenced).

Um, we've all known there was going to be a new cartoon next year for a while. Remember that article about Hasbro buying Discovery Kids and that they would develop shows based on Hasbro brands, including G.I. Joe and Transformers? I mean, yeah, ofcourse that means there's a new cartoon coming! I'm surprised no one thought about this...

Man, I don't know. After Animated, I just don't know. Animated was such a good adaption distillation, that I want the next one to be nothing like it. shoot. Shoot! I want a continuation of Animated! (even if they make the next one a "stealth" continuation, like, he he he, new designs but obviously in the same continuity for those paying attention.)

I hope there's going to be news about more Transformers Mighty Muggs. At least release series3.

They said Shockwave and Jazz are being put on hold.

The instructions will probably be included with the third bot, if I had to guess.

Just got home with Chromia and there were no instructions on how she will combine with the other two figures. BUT there is a big black piece that folds out that obviously attaches to something else that was not included. It's a given. I really like this figure more than i thought I would. I'm excited to see how it will combine.

I'm REALLY glad to hear about the Animated toy line. So the Perceptor they mentioned as an exclusive....are we talking a reissue or the Animated Perceptor?

NO mention of any future universe/classics though. Hrmmmm...

Yeah they did. A voyager Bludgeon. Apparently he turns into a tank, is orange, and has a really big sword to go along with his samurai robot mode. Although I might have misread that and he is part of the Movie line.

Well at least the Silverbolt, Powerglide and Onslaught molds are being repainted for the movie. :/

EDIT:

2:33

On the subject of the possible new Universe series, plan is to use the line to draw on the full rich history of the brand. Shattered Glass is probably off limits to Hasbro because it is a convention thing

2:34

If they make a Universe Sky Byte, Forest Lee wants to make his bio and all the other text haiku, he's a big Sky Byte fan

More Cybertron modes for which toyline?

2:36

Not made 100% clear, I assume across the board

2:36

or Universe

2:36

the two RotF Bludgeons, the exclusives and the tank, will be explained

2:37

Universe / Classics Sunstorm is still a possibility but no specific plans

2:39

[Comment From optibotimus]

premium line on the rotf announced yet?

2:40

They said no complete lines of repaints, so probably not happening.

2:45

RotF Voyager Bludgeon designed as a possible Universe style toy

2:45

Universe line is well liked by the Hasbro team, because it is an oppotunity to keep doing different characters. Does a lot for Hasbro, when Universe stops it is because they've got a lot of other stuff going on not because it is unpopular

I read through TFW2005's account of the panel...Looks like Hasbro is gonna put the hammer down on Fansproject too. They are NOT happy with them. that sucks! Probably cause they're making Hasbro look bad :tfevil

As for the 2010 Sneek Peek, I'm not interested in anything from the movie toyline. And ANOTHER Animated Lockdown...doubtful that I'll purchase, but we'll have to see.

Not quite "ANOTHER" Animated Lockdown. It's Lockdown done in the Movieverse design style.

I've been reading around about everything they said in the panel. They really are committed to all facets of the brand! This is awesome, and smart business sense!

Love all the Animated news! Love all of the universe news! Even love the movie news, even though it isn't my thing!!!

Thanks, Hasbro!!!! :yay
