BotCon 2009 - Hasbro Transformers Review Panel

Yeah, don't see how they can significantly change MP Skywarp to look much closer to his G1 counterpart than it already does except maybe stripe the wings? Potentially two MP figures in the span of 6 months would be nothing but win though.

Too lazy to dig out the box, but I'm almost positive there's a decal sheet in there that has the wing stripes you speak of. (I just never put them on)

Am I right to assume that they said the three deluxe movie motorcycle fembots will indeed combine?

Does anybody have an instruction sheet that confirms this?

I have Chromia and there was no part of the instructions that show her combining, but there is definitely a piece that comes out of the floor board of the bike that would suggest this. Im glad its confirmed :)

So......we're getting our Animated toys? Awesome!

Although, Voyager Blackout, he'll be too small, voyager BB, won't he be far too big? Another lockdown? Uh....why? Oh well, Rodimus, Arcee, Soundblaster and Ironhide are all I could ask for. After them, I really don't care, although, a Wasp would be cool with his own head.

While I'm glad they're continuing at least some of the Animated figures, there's still a lot not accounted for: Constructicons, Omega Supreme, Strika, Spittor, Cyclonus, Brawn, Perceptor, Alpha Trion, and a few others. Out of all the re-issues that were listed, we could have gotten more new characters. :shrug Anybody know if there was any Q&A for this panel today? I still want some answers as to why this series was canned so quickly, and why the toy production was lagging so far behind the entire time? If not today, then hopefully we'll get some answers tomorrow...

I've been kicking around an idea in my head and the lack of combining instructions on the one bike bot may confirm it. What if the combination instructions are released later...after the movie, and when several of the figures are out...it could cause a second wave of purches for the initail figures released after the novelty of the movie wears off. The constructicons for instance would be a possibility with the alt modes being what they are, as well as the numerous moving pieces...it's possible hasbro may be trying to pull a fast one...just a thought...and some wishfull thinking. Glad to hear about Animated...Still want Omega.

The instructions will probably be included with the third bot, if I had to guess.

Just got home with Chromia and there were no instructions on how she will combine with the other two figures. BUT there is a big black piece that folds out that obviously attaches to something else that was not included. It's a given. I really like this figure more than i thought I would. I'm excited to see how it will combine.

I'm REALLY glad to hear about the Animated toy line. So the Perceptor they mentioned as an exclusive....are we talking a reissue or the Animated Perceptor?

NO mention of any future universe/classics though. Hrmmmm...
