I've noticed they are thinning out with the advent of more TFA and classics lines coming in. I'm sure ROTF lines will deluge us in about 5-6 months.

Yeah, my closest Wal-Mart has three pegs full of the things, plus a bunch of Voyagers and Leaders.

Clearance the motherfargers already.

Last time I checked TRU had few if any TF figures Movie/Animated/Universe. Target on the other hand had a butt load of movie figures. Mostly the same three figs no one seems to want of course.

I definitly think they're thinning out. But not gone altogether. My local Targets aren't even stocking the Deluxe Animated figures at all. All they have in the way of deluxe figs are Universe (wave 1) and whatever drek they can't sell from the movie.

Hasbro first underproduced movie stock, only to wind up overproducing movie stock.

*sighs* No. We're sitting on pegs and pegs, and shelves and shelves of Movie figures. From Fast Action Battlers, to Deluxe Class, to Role Play and Leader Class....they're just sitting there. Other than the $7.77 for the Deluxes, nothing else is clearanced. Not a danged thing. I have no idea what they plan to do with this stuff when the ROTF line comes out. I'm worried that some stores won't even carry the ROTF line for a while until they find a way to get rid of the first movie's figures.

I know my local Wal-Mart *will* postpone the release of the new figures until they can find room for them. They've done it with other TFs.

    • Yeah he's a pretty chunky monkey! I'm hoping his bulk lends itself well to some of my future builds! 😄
    • Uh did I miss something? Where does it say that it's a partial of Huffer? It's not stated in the quote here or in the livestream. In this quote it even says that it's "ALL NEW in three molds!!!". I mean it's standing right there next to Huffer and nothing looks to be shared. Nothing can be shared either as there's nothing in common with their transformations and all their parts work differently from their hands to their knees to their ankles to their waists, arms and torsos. Cosmos' transformation looks most similar to Warpath which would explain the leakers saying that it was a retool. Even then however, they share no parts. Warpath also has what looks to be like twice the parts count from all the flaps compared to Cosmos. I take this full quote as it's completely new as he states that there's a certain budget for new molds and that Takara managed to work within that budget to get all the parts needed while only using three mold sprues. It looks it as there's not a lot of individual parts. It looks like there's one mold in green, one mold in yellow and one unpaintable mold also in yellow. Two of the three shades of green are paint, the yellow on the arms and face is paint, both shades of blue are paint, the red is paint, the silver is paint. Which makes me wonder where the flag came from. If it came from one of the molds for Cosmos then it's not white. Meaning that they also used black and white paint. That's a shit ton of colors used on just one figure. There's also quite a bit of paint on him in general.  This guy is just showing him next to one of the other "Minibots" to better get a feel for his overall size. Not to show that Cosmos is a partial of Huffer.
    • In what has been a bit of a trying week, and limits imposed on some social media, I also celebrate 3 years of GotBot Goes Live and being married  (yes, they both coincide) with a Wednesday edition of the live show covering Legacy and Velocitron leaks and a few channel updates!
