Is it possible to paint soft plastic/rubber? Such as nosecoses?

I'm about to start a new project and I realized the last time I painted some of that soft "nosecose" plastic/rubber I ended up tossing it because the paint never dried. I believe I used testors' acryl model masters paint, or krylon fusion.

Anyway, any tips before i ruin another one? Thanks.

You probably used Krylon Fusion which is enamel based. Enamels are no good for rubber parts. Acrylic is fine though. Perhaps even lacquer.

because I typically paint in mostly enamels, I will coat those softer plastics with an acrylic based primer, then coat with enamel.

try painting over the nose cone (for instance) with acrylic, let it dry, then try Fusion, should be fine.

Do not dye, and do not use any type of spray paint, I have tried this before so many times, the solvents in spray paints will start a degradation in rubber and will become sticky, the only way is either testors ACRYLIC(depending on color applied will be somewhat sticky but not riuned), Automotive paint(as this is thinner diluted, and thinner evaporates very quickly), or if you know where to get it use vinilic paint, vinilic is designed for plastics and rubbers, and must be applied with airbrush.

hope this works!
