Okay, I know I haven't been active lately, but I have my reasons...
Anyway, I have a project that was supposed to be a partner project, but there was an odd number of people in our class, so I volunteered to not have a partner (I swear). boy what a frigin mistake that was. anyway its a "What vs What" Project and I need mathematical things for it. So I have made this poll to have another thing to put on my poster. The thing is to be turned in on the 14th (of October, duh) so get those votes in before then. Also, if you have the time, post so it stay on the front page, and don't just vote. please.

If you want Halo, 360
If you want MGS, PS3
Only difference in my opinion, and since I don't really like Halo, and I like MGS alot, I'll go for the PS3, thank you very much...

Any platform is only as good as the games. I never buy a platform on the basis of a single game, unlike Gash, apparently, and I find the games for the XBox 360 far more alluring than those for the PS3.

I'm stopping with the PS2 unless the PS3 drops its price to $99 or something. (Although, FT, I really REALLY want to play MGS4 and that's about it on PS3.)
I have more unfinished PS2 games than I know what to do with.

GTA IV: Multi console
FF13: Multi console
etc etc
Therefore, the games that tipped it over were MGS and RAC. Therefore I'm gonna buy a PS3. At some point. When it's cheaper...

I have both. Though I use my 360 for games 95% The PS3 is an awesome media hub and a shot hot Blu-ray player.

I buy a console for games and nothing more. It has been my experience that, when you try to fuse two systems into one, the secondairy system usually performs less. If I were to want a Blu-Ray player (which I don't, because; 1: the format is still too expensive for my tastes, and 2: my current TV is tiny as hell, so it wouldn't have any use for me anyhow (although a new one is on the way)) I would still opt for a stand-alone, and not a "home-media centre", as the PS3 is advertised.

I'm just gonna go everywhere with this. Well they both have pros and cons of course. 360 has a wide and better variety of game titles. The PS3 has a few exclusive titles worth mentioning, just not as much as the 360's. PS3 is just a media monster compared to the 360, I threw in a 250GB HDD. I have every episode/movie of Bleach & DBZ and movies I will not mention. The PS3's sixaxis gimmick... shot. It reminds of the NES days where people would lift their controllers up thinking it would make Mario jump higher. The 360 has the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) which could have whenever, including to first use, to never. The PS3's BR drive will die eventually, it died on me after 6 months. The 360 is pretty loud, but I think MS has fixed the problem with recent consoles, from what I hear. The PS3, silent... or near silent, whatever. 360's online service (Xbox Live) is $50 a year, while the PS3's service (PlayStation Network) is free. PSN's free service is the only thing thats good about it. XBL is way better than the PSN in every other way, and you most certainly get what you pay for. If you're the type that downloads movies (pirate!! Arrrrr) or the type of person who records home videos and like to show them off to friends and families, the PS3 is good for that. The 360, not so good, well the last time I checked anyways. You can stream videos from your computer/USB drive, but storing it on your 360's HDD... no. I could be wrong, idk, I haven't messed with it since the 360 came out. So it all comes down to if you're a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer who likes having movies stored on their console. Plus, you get a free BR player with the PS3.
I didn't vote.

I voted ps3. Mainly because that's the only system I own (I don't count my DC because I rarely use it.) The ps3 is more versatile, and I'm more of a casual gamer. Large expandable hdd and anime fansubs ftw. I used to be a Halo2 freak, but I bought 3 when it came out and played it on my bro's xbox for a few months until I wanted to bash my head into a wall. Like all of you who have posted before, each system has it's pros and cons but the fact of the matter is all of the games I want to play are available on the ps3 or both. Except for Gears2, I'll probably be making frequent trips to see my brother this holiday season.

This.
Though I only have a PS3 and Wii, it's my impression that the 360 has better games/downloads/exclusives, while the PS3 is a better blu-ray/torrent-watching/do-anything machine.
I'm more of a classic gamer, so I really just got my PS3 as a media center. It sits comfortably next to my NES and Atari 2600. There are games for 360 I'd like to play, in theory, but I wouldn't really get around to buying that many $70 games even if I had one.
