2 Pilots from Go! Airlines were suspended by the FAA and fired by the airline for falling asleep during approach to Hilo Airport in Hawaii. Traffic controllers frantically tried to hail the aircraft for over 40 minutes. By the time they were able to contact the pilots, the plane overshot Hilo by 15mi. The pilot, who was diagnosed as suffering from sleep apnea, had his license suspended for 60 days. His co-pilot was suspended for 45 days. The airline, who was cleared of any wrongdoing by the FAA, susequently fired both.
